I would like to keep him for another year just to see how much he can improve.
Some of our supporters talk him up big time but he hasn't really shown a lot to be honest.
You could say the same about both.
I would personally hold on to Ellis for another year i think he can come good if he can get his body right.
Unless of course we are offered a trade for him which is too good to be true which is unlikely.
You are living in dreamland if you think that would be enough.
We were interested in Thornton before Gilham came through and we got Gibson. Why the hell would we want him now.
Re: Burgoyne deal nearly done..
I wonder if Sydney and Kennedy/ Mc Glynn are involved in this.
I will be dissapointed if we give up 9 + williams for burgoyne and don't at least get a 3rd rounder as a sweetner.
Re: Burguoyne to Hawthorn
That seems fair to me but you can bet Port won't think it's good enough.
Throw in Buddy, Roughy and rioli and they will think about it.
If Carlton are absolutely genuine about moving Fev on this is probably about as good a deal as they will get.
Be very interesting to see if it eventuates.
Re: Burguoyne to Hawthorn
Port are dragging it out by asking for players (Lewis, Birchall) they know are off limits.
They overrate burgoynes worth. He is worth pick 9 + one of Mc Glynn, Kennedy, Tuck, Dowler.
I think the gibson trade shows if both parties are being fair we are not hard to deal...
