I can join now after I spent my last trade last round on wait for it.............
Bradley Hill.
I had to pivot mid match when Phillipou was a late out and when Curnow went down I needed a dpp so I could get Mannagh forward, he gave me 86 so not the worst trade in.
So if we get the same season in 2025 (early byes, R0) then the following really worked well this year.
No starting top priced R0 players (no Daicos)
Minimal starting R0 value premiums (no Flanders)
Focus on starting bye free premiums
Mid pricers that played R0, was able to transition some of...
If its RD 16, my basic maths says he needs 55% fwd time to get fwd eligibility.
CBAs are too high I think couple that with TOG and pushing up after starting forward I think he misses
Sheezel wont be forward
Tom Stewart will be cheap next year, prefer him to Sinclair and Hinge
Wouldnt pay 680k for a winger (Gulden) but yes pick one 650k mid, probably LDU.
Im hoping Gawn is not named, not liking the way he looked and Xerri has a dream run of match ups. May even do the swap if Gawn named, holding Gawn hasnt hurt so far thanks to Dowling and Mannagh but anti podding Xerri this week wont be fun.
Can Xerri put 100 on Gawn/(Mannagh or Dowling) is the...
My starters still left
Sheezel
Houston
Martin (roughie)
Bont
Butters
Clark (rookie)
Gawn
Heeney
Mannagh (rookie)
Maley (loop)
So only 8 but 2 rookies and Im contemplating Gawn out as he didnt look great in the vision we all saw.
There always seems to be injuries last year Daicos and Green went down, but if full premo you shouldnt trade a Tom Green to a Josh Dunkley for example as it may only get you a handful of points in the end.
Would have to be a Rowell type if I was to do that type of upgrade now.
The biggest gain in rank to make is holding them to cover 1 or 2 weekers whereas other teams are out of trades and need to rely on rookies or get a donut.
With the question mark on Houston I am going to hold a trade back.
Will go Fisher to Jackson and keep Gawn hoping he misses only 2, Gawn could be a great POD for the run home. Jackson is a bit meh but could feast today, Meek has given up some big scores this year including SDK last week.
I paid 117,300 for mine.
Personally i think looping a Mannagh/Dowling is much better than paying up for a 23rd. Rather put my money on the field so I can run a Neale instead of a Steele for instance.
