On current standings I'd go with the below
Pick 1 - Lalor to Richmond
Pick 2 - O'Sullivan to North
Pick 3 - Draper to Carlton
Pick 4 - Ashcroft to BL
Pick 5 - Langford to Adelaide
Pick 6 - Smith to Melbourne
My gut feel is North trade pick 2 for 6, 10 and some future swaps with the need for...
So has Turner again proven himself as a no hoper in the longer form of the game.
To advance down like that, in that situation of needing a cool head and runs is diabolical.
Sorry for the intrusion guys.
Was talking with a work colleague/ West Perth member and he mentioned something about an ex-Coburg player from the VFL joining West Perth.
Anyone got any insight to give or a name?
Happy New Year crew, starting the year off right with some way too early predictions post trade and draft period
1. Brisbane
2. Geelong
3. Melbourne
4. Richmond
5. Sydney
6. Port Adelaide

Barnett and Burgiel was my dream scenario after night one. Can't believe its happened to be honest and Long is a ripper to get that late.
Tyrell and Baker we get as Cat B's. Would not mind Szybkowski or D'Aloia if still available tomorrow
Don't think the non NGA linked key forward talent is...
Players still available in positional but otherwise no particular order
KEY/ TALL BACKS
Jed Adams
Hugh Davies
Will Edwards SYDNEY ACADEMY
Brinn Little GOLD COAST ACADEMY
Josh Draper FREMANTLE NGA

Bit of a review now that my four rounds are done. Interested to hear any feedback given I've broken down each club with how many picks are expected
ADELAIDE: Expected to take two picks in Michalaney and Dowling.
BRISBANE: Ashcroft and Fletcher are the kings of the draft crop for Brisbane and...
For the interested parties I've updated my first 2 rounds of my mock draft yesterday.
Will hopefully have Round 3 up by mid this week and finalise the 4 rounds plus notes on any additional picks by next Sunday.
Feel free to leave your comments.
I've neglected to take into account Naismith and Sinclair off season departures also.
Update will have a tall there

Thanks Calli. Will probably save in depth write ups for first round picks and second round onwards where a club is taking its first pick like Adelaide, Port, Richmond, Fremantle and the like.
Appreciate the feedback on the second pick. My rationale was balancing an inside mid with a more...
I get what you mean and can see why I've worked it incorrectly that way.
I'm bound to have mucked up the points/ picks somewhere in hindsight by sliding picks down with a matched bid rather than using current picks to match.
What I think you're saying is that the order routine from a bid match...
Appreciate the feedback. George was high in my considerations as well if nothing else than a best available type.
Rationale with Keeler was more so around the key forward element to his game rather than ruck but it's great food for thought.

ADELAIDE: Expected to take two picks in Michalaney and Dowling.
BRISBANE: Ashcroft and Fletcher are the kings of the draft crop for Brisbane and would see them into a deficit in 2023. Anything after them given they are slated to take 3 - 4 picks will be potentially a young key forward given...
PICK 56 - ADELAIDE: Billy Dowling / BALANCED MID / NORTH ADELAIDE / SA
Best available SA talent here in Dowliing. Consistent midfielder with a tank who accumulates the ball and brings balance between inside and outside, while given list dynamic could fit into a wing/ outside role comfortably in...
PICK 39 - WESTERN BULLDOGS: Mitch Szybkowski / INSIDE MIDIFIELDER / DANDENONG / VC
After going with an elite outside runner and taller defender I've gone with the inside mid here for the Bulldogs who are only anticipated to pick 3 picks in.
PICK 40 - NORTH MELBOURNE: Potential for a live trade...
PICK 21 - GWS: Lewis Hayes / KEY DEF / EASTERN / VM
RATIONALE: Partner with Taylor long term, GWS concentrate on the book ends of the field alonmg with Konstanty as the Bobby Hill type and Hustwaite in the middle.
PICK 22 - WEST COAST: Coby Burgiel / MID - FWD / GIPPSLAND / VC
RATIONALE...
END OF FIRST ROUND RESERVED - PICK 11 ONWARDS
UPDATED 19/11
PICK 11 – CARLTON: JEDD BUSSLINGER
POSITION: KEY DEFENDER ~ CLUB: EAST PERTH / WA
DRAFT RANGE: 5 – 15
Oliver Hollands seems to be all the rage here for the Blues which would be a great selection as a hard running and balanced...
UPDATE 19/11/2022
The first 4 picks, I see the names as relatively safe with the only flexibility around where a bid for Will Ashcroft comes.
I'm not looking at any live trading.
PICK 1 – GWS: AARON CADMAN
POSITION: KEY FWD ~ CLUB: GREATER WESTERN VICTORIA / VC
DRAFT RANGE: 1 – 2
RATIONALE...
I'm a big fan on the idea of Cadman over Wardlaw at North, would be a reversal of the Will Phillips/ Logan McDonald debate, just a gut feel that Wardlaw seemed destined for North.
Concerns me what Rohan O'Brien would do if the opportunity came up of Wardlaw or Tsatas but haha
Pardon the intrusion folks. Just looking for a bit of a consensus from what I've read, is it all in on the key forward Cadman at live pick 1 or Wardlaw a chance?
Personal opinion but I'm a Tsatas man if it comes down to him versus Wardlaw.
Here's my pre draft prediction, with Amon and Meek into the playing list, Gunston and Tom Mitchell out. Thoughts very welcome
B: Hardwick ~ Blanck ~ DGB
HB: Jiath ~ Sicily ~ Scrimshaw
C: Ward ~ Worpel ~ Amon
RR: Reeves ~ Newcombe ~ O'Meara
HF: Moore ~ Koschitzke ~ Brockman
FF: Bruest ~ Lewis...
Here's my pre draft prediction taking into the account the expected loss of Rankine, potential losses of Bowes, Sharp, Corbett and Fiorini via trades also, and addition of Long.
Budarick and Weller unable to be considered. Outsiders perspective but I don't see trading Sexton as a wise thing so...
Here's an early indicator for me. I'd hope to see Alwyn Davey get some chances in 2023, Jayden will need more time and I've got Tom Phillips as a DFA, thoughts very welcome
B: Ridley ~ Stewart/ BZT ~ Kelly
HB: Redman ~ Laverde ~ Heppell
C: Langford ~ Caldwell ~ Merrett
RR: Draper ~ Parish ~...
Considering that Hill, Frampton and McStay all seem fairly well locked in as deals, Fiorini seems more likely than not, Mitchell being the 50/50 one, I'm going to assume these are the current in's.
Henry, Grundy and for the sake of the exercise Poulter out.
Here's my pre-draft prediction...
With the Acres deal seemingly done I'll have a crack for pre draft, thoughts are welcome
B: McGovern ~ Young (surprising me how big he is looking at the Record) ~ Williams
HB: Docherty ~ Weitering ~ Saad
C: Cerra/ Walsh ~ Cripps ~ Acres
RR: Pittonet ~ Walsh/ Cerra ~ Hewett
HF: Martin ~ Curnow...
