I've heard Jacana are about to fold. Apparently they cant field an under 10, 12 or 14 team. No money in the bank. Struggling to field 2 senior teams and getting beat by 250 points every week. Can anyone shed some light on this?
This nonsense the EDFL continues to promote is BS. What do they want? KP and EK to fold while Keilor have 8 teams at every age group?? Get serious EDFL and wake up. Junior teams should be capped at 3 teams and 75-80 kids per age group. Once they exceed the the overflow play at neighbouring...
I'm a little concerned about how clubs like Roxy, Jacana, Moonee Valley and Keilor Pk are coming along. Does anyone know of the financial position of these clubs and numbers they've had at training? We all want a stong EDFL, not at the expense of existing clubs though.
This is the fault of the EDFL who let their neighbours Keilor who are no more than 5 minutes away have 4 teams per age group, while Keilor Park struggle to field 1 team. Until the EDFL starts doing the right thing ALL of THEIR clubs, this gap between the have's and the have not's will continue.
I really can't understand why NT Thunder arent playing in the WAFL which is a much better standard. The travel time to Perth is similar to Brisbane. QLD & NSW footy is long way behind. There is no benefit there for NT. Also it will take the much hated bye out of the WAFL. Can anyone please...
Why should people feel sorry for Jacana? They're just going through a rough patch, every team does. Hillside aren't the most perfect side going around. Hillside started the in all brawl by king hitting a Jacana player behind play. I'm also quite sure this isn't the first Hillside game to be...
Very well said Justin. It takes a courageous person to put their real name on a forum and leave themselves open for criticism. You are obviously very passionate about your club. I really hope Jacana can get it together because although they are battlers, they are survivors. Think of all the...
From all reports the Jacana Football Club is as good as dead. The club is in a huge amount of debt and cannot field two open age teams for the 2011 season.
This will also be a massive blow for their major sponsor, the Broadmeadows Sporting club, who have plans to relocate to Jacana Reserve...
