I can remember a long time ago there was an ongoing argument between list refresh camp and full rebuild camp.
I would love to see the correlation between those that now whinge about 7 years and those that wanted the full rebuild.
It looks like we are just now entering a period where we will have quite a few FS (and at least 1 good NGA) options available to us and I'm just spit balling out next few years drafting around this. I think the op draft years are out by a year but even so we should have
2025 draft mitch...
Why? As long as the payments landed in the bank accounts of the relevant players by Dec 31st 2024 shouldn't that have been ok? Could do late in yr negotiations and achieve this easily.
Was there a club article that said we are getting him to bulk up and get stronger this off season? Will be interested to see if that works. Have my doubts, I woulda gone the other way for more running power, speed and agility.
You and froggy are weird ppl.
Breathing fire lmao?! I think you give away how much YOU care about this site by your comments, I don't think I'm in your league.
I gave a piece of info that was pertinent to what the person I replied to wrote. It matches up with known things like the cheap and...
Oh no, the death of rumor threads and the death of bigfooty.... nothing can be said anymore without direct evidence!!?!
What is it, a month of for anyone that posts unsubstantiated stuff?
Farewell bigfooty, the end is nigh 🤣🤣
Should they have had access though? If you get two years of draft penalties meaning no first round and second round picks for those two years and you have a father son coming along who's a first round pick in those two years should you still get him?
Are you even being punished if you can just...
What's your version then?
Why did Collingwood get rid of Treloar so abruptly and cheaply?
Why would the clubs say anything? Would've brought the wrath of the AFL if you did. Would they do that? You always say the leaders of our club are just weak. What about other boards, what do they think...
Hang on, this literally did happen with Collingwood.
Everyone with any contacts into the AFL knows that Collingwood were in breach of the salary cap and that's why they got rid of Treloar so abruptly and cheaply. The head honchos of AFL knew and contacted Collingwood and told them to fix...
The problem is that they aren't in there full time and another problem is contested possession stats, just.for one example, are generated from places other than the midfield so it does capture the youth effect from the rest of the team.
Think that's a bit rough, all of our current crop of defenders are passable with their marking.
In the past we had a defense that was undersized height and strength wise (Doedee, Kelly, Otten) and was pretty slow, which hampered our intercept marking ability.
Still have some slowness (Butts...
Interesting to see how many ppl we have in the list of 1v1 contests compared to other teams, which highlights our unique game plan and how our defense doesn't ever have the extra like others do so we have so much more 1v1s.
12th, 16th, 10th, 14, 15,14,15 and we're about 15th most.experienced. You'd never expect any really inexperienced team to dominate, so aren't these results about par? Neither good nor poor?
Teams don't have to manufacture an extra against us, true, because we do it for them, but at times they still do it anyway and we will be two down in our forward line.
Also, other teams manufacture the extra when they play each other, so they would do it even if we didn't do it for them, which...
We pretty much all think the same as you, but we can dream can't we? Also being able to trade picks from two years into the future means we might be able to trade up far enough if he falls away from the top 3 or so picks.
Cmon man, this is pretty basic.
We put our extra at the contest, other clubs put their extra in defense. Having an extra number there makes it tonnes easier to come off and get the intercept.
How can you and others not get this very very standout obvious aspect of our game plan into your...
No, sorry. Will put it on list of things to do to see if I can find out. Doubt I'll see them directly any time soon but some mutual friends that I will see might know so I'll ask them.
Glad Hannah Ewings has come over to play for us. Am friends with her family, especially her father, and I was gutted when she got recruited to Port (don't think Dad was too impressed either).
