Yep and apparently they should empty and close down reservoirs for repairs during the summer fire period.
Simple fact is that building in one of the most fire prone areas on the planet has consequences. More houses in the environment that is SoCal simply means less ability to manage fires...
Our forwards have leading patterns? Surprise to me!!
Marshall is good enough to play forward but the problem is that since Ryder left we didn't have an alternate ruckman good enough to operate in tandem with Marshall.
Playing dual ruck/fwd helped King as well.
I'm not sure whether Boyd will actually play but I think his style of rucking would be enough to hold his own if they are seriously looking at playing Marshall fwd for say 40% of the game.
But they didn't do it when Campbell was there, doubt they'll do it unless Boyd turns out a much better AFL...
Crouch was not just "in and playing an important role" - he was simply our best mid. Losing him was disastrous for us last year.
Averaged 26/27 possessions a game for the previous 3 seasons and was our most consistent midfield clearance winner. It was a huge loss that we struggled to cover...
The current game requires what it has always required - being able to get the ball.
Clark has improved his contested possession and clearance rates significantly over the past two years as he's been played more as an inside mid.
Getting an uninterrupted run will see those stats continue to...
A lot of those will be re-signed during next year so you'd the number OOC towards the end of the year would around 7/10 players - so not much difference between most years.
Have my doubts that Henry will be fit enough to play 1st round. Other than that I pretty much agree except for Sharman as a lock for 3rd tall fwd.
Third tall defender and 3rd tall fwd are about the only two spots that don't really pick themselves at this stage. Safety first option for defence...
If we are serious about winning early games, I'd be looking at Cordy as the starting option for a few weeks.
After that I think Barrat might be the one that surprise's us and steps up to fill the Battle role.
Mate I refer you to my post about Gout Gout and what constitutes being "elite" even as a young sportsman.
If all the Gen Z's need a little boost by needing to be classified as "special" - go ahead classify them as elite - but please don't expect me swallow the bullshite.
If he's so effing...
Speaking of whether you can describe young talent as being "elite" here's the answer.
With that time Gout Gout would have placed 6th in 200m at Paris Olympics. Now that is f***ing elite young talent.
I agree but the thing is I don't even rate NWM as elite (yet).
Elite these days seems to mean anyone on an AFL squad as opposed to what it actually means which is multiple AA at a minimum.
To suggest Will Day is elite is a bit demeaning to the truly elite players in our comp.
Hope he'll be a much better player than Will Day. Overrated- just like the rest of the Hawks.

AFL players spend about 10 to 15 hours a week at the club training - I would have thought that would give a player heaps of time to look after their treasured little darlings themselves rather than shunting them off to child care.
I suppose it better than having an ankle biter annoying you when...
