agree, defence wins flags and we're a long way from having the building blocks of a premiership backline. Barrat & Oliver with later picks would be mint.
I think there's somewhat of a loose consensus that the difference between 13 and 20 in this draft isn't all that significant. On top of the fact that we'd come out with one less pick in total, I'd say it'd be hard no from most.
just how serious are Trainor's concussion issues..?
I find it odd that it seems enough of a problem that he's slipped out of the top echelon, but not enough that he's still seemingly in contention as a mid-late 1st rounder in a very strong draft, and noone really seems to be talking about it...
I want the Lalor FOS deluxe combo, but if that doesn’t eventuate and we end up with Lalor and Smillie, it’d be hard not to get excited. If those two reach their potential, along with McAuliffe, and possibly adding Sharp next year… it’s an imposing mix
peaceful richmond intruder alert. someone shared your post on our board and I felt compelled to come and heartily agree with you on all counts.
may we all be united in our profound and enduring hatred of GFC 🕊️
Turning Rioli (15), Bolton (29), Baker (rookie), Graham (53) and a handful of 40+ picks into 6, 10, 11, 18, 20 & 23 and numerous flags is more legendary trading than when that dude turned a paperclip into a house on craigslist
current dream outcome which will change 576 times before the draft:
6 + 20 to North for 2
1 - Lalor
2 - FOS
10 - Lindsay
11 - Travaglia
18 - Hannaford
23 - Faull
24 - Gerreyn
Competitiveness, skill, versatility. Bosh
yeah thought it was interesting in one of his recent interviews (gettable maybe?) how he said he absolutely wants to be the #1 pick, didn't shy away from it at all. he clearly wants to be the best of the crop
all else equal I reckon North will take whoever of FOS and Lalor we leave on the table. So I think the most likely outcome would be FOS & Jagga
Need to get pick 2 for the supreme FOS/Lalor combo
