Preview Round 23 The Death Ride Ends - Sunday August 17th 1.10pm

Because our VFL team will play finals and all those guys will be eligible to play in them Pretty sure you're talking mostly horse shit

    Player Watch #20 Jacob Koschitzke

Given he played ruck tonight, maybe he's a better 2nd ruck option than a couple of others on our list. Wouldn't mind seeing him play that role for the rest of the VFL season

    Player Watch #3: Dion Prestia

I think Yze was pretty clear in his press conference this week. They won't put a ceiling on the number of games, if he performs, they'll be open to another 1 year contract. It wasn't said, but I am sure the reverse is also true, and they've been open about it, if he's not doing what they need...

    Player Watch #3: Dion Prestia

With rotations and flankers pushing up the ground, plus the bench for more midfield rotations, a team will typically have around 12-14 midfielders in the team at any one time. Just look at the centre bounce attendance numbers and you will see we are already trying out different combinations...

    News Welcome Ben Serpell

When you look at the ever increasing numbers of games missed by first year players due to injury year on year, this is an AFL wide problem though, not just Richmond. It probably just feels like it is given our huge intake of young kids. I think it just shows how demanding the game is getting...

List Mgmt. Trade & Free Agency 2025

They may be playing as small forwards now, but there's every chance the club views MRJ, Hotton & Campbell as future midfielders instead of small forwards. Then with Clarke doing his knee again that leaves you only Mansell, Green & Alger.

List Mgmt. Trade & Free Agency 2025

This is how I see it too... though maybe not so harsh on the 2029 call :D

List Mgmt. Trade & Free Agency 2025

I tend to agree on this also. Unless the club has inside mail that Nank only has about a year left, then I feel the move for a 26 year old ruckman is about 2 years too early.

Oppo Camp Deathriding Norf - "The Manlets"

Based on this, why don't we just forfeit?

Oppo Camp Deathriding Norf - "The Manlets"

He hasn't got much of the ball, but Saints have been playing a lot better once Steele got subbed on

Player Watch #28 Josh Gibcus - He's Back

You made these three posts about him in the space of 12 hours. Either you want to bring him in for the Norf game as a token selection to run around, give him 5 months off or build him up slowly. Can you make up your mind?

Universal Love Welcome to Richmond Adem Yze

Look at the VFL team, barely any AFL listed players suiting up at the lower level, so not much to pick from Up against a team that will likely finish Top 4, interstate and timing their run for finals. We are going to be inconsistent, Yze couldn't kick the ball straight for them, if we'd just...

Take of the year right here 19yo kpp playing in his rookie year needs to put on weight

Oppo Camp Deathriding Norf - "The Manlets"

Except that even us just beating Norf could put us above Essendon if they don't win a game. Their % is about to take a pounding
  15. Infamy

    Player Watch #15: Jayden Short

Yes it will absolutely be taken into consideration, there is 0% chance West Coast risk their Pick 2 compo by bringing in a veteran via free agency.

Oppo Camp Deathriding Norf - "The Manlets"

It's only Essendon we need to worry about now, I can't see them winning another game, though it would be hilarious if they beat Carlton in Rd 24 Saints could easily beat Norf, us & Essendon in their run home so should be out of reach Worst case from here is Picks 2 & 4 (prior to FA compo)

    Player Watch #15: Jayden Short

That wasn't what your post said, it said TRADE Short and take McIntosh via FA

Player Watch #28 Josh Gibcus - He's Back

It will be a step up in intensity from usual VFL level, but likely not AFL H&A level. If we're trying to ease his way back into the level it may be considered a safer strategy, as well as additional weeks of football into his body if we can make it further into the finals.

    Player Watch #15: Jayden Short

West Coast won't be trying to take anyone via free agency as it will offset the Oscar Allen compensation

Player Watch #28 Josh Gibcus - He's Back

So far since he's returned to the VFL Rd 15 - 4 disposals 2 marks Rd 16 - 7 disposals 2 marks Rd 17 - Bye Rd 18 - 11 disposals 3 marks Rd 19 - 14 disposals 3 marks So gradually increasing each week, I assume with added minutes each week He only needs 2 more VFL games to be eligible for VFL...

Oppo Camp Deathriding Norf - "The Manlets"

I assume we're live trading the pick, so once we use our Pick 2/3, we'll go on the bidding spree and our Pick 3/4 will turn into something like Pick 8. So, we'll only be trading Pick 8ish for a future 1st and another pick in this year's draft.

He can just win the whole thing next year

Player Watch #24 Taj Hotton - Round 18 Debut

I'll admit that in the lead up to the draft I didn't want us to take him as his disposal in the highlights video was pretty average. Xavier Lindsay was the one I wanted. Once we picked him up, I never questioned our recruiters though. Very happy to have been wrong and I'll put that more on the...

    Player Watch #26 Jonty Faull

The AFL aren't going to give us 2 weekly nominations in a row unless they absolutely can't ignore the performance

    Player Watch #12 Ben Miller

Still only 25 years of age too (almost 26), so also shows how young he was when we picked him up. Would like to think he's still got a good 7+ years of AFL left in him

Injury Injury Report - Season 2025

Agreed, I get that these guys are in an elite sporting environment, but the body can only put on so much muscle at one time. Even if you are training 5-6 days a week, it can take months to significantly progress strength levels (unless you're on the Stephen Dank program).
  27. Infamy

Oppo Camp Deathriding Norf - "The Manlets"

We lose to Saints and then I'm hoping we can have the Norf game in Round 23 as our main priority to win. Let's hope that game is the one that cements Norf in 17th spot and we finish 16th. Great for developing a winning culture and the best outcome for the draft as well.

List Mgmt. 2025 AFL Draft - Champs Edition

Not sure if they are the best examples of big bodied mids being redundant More like they are just getting older and that role is super taxing on the body and they rarely play long past 30yo Cripps is over 30, Wines is over 30, Parish is not a big bodied mid & Oliver has other issues affecting...
  29. Infamy

List Mgmt. Trade & Free Agency 2025

Lynch yes, Prestia yes, but McIntosh? Absolutely not I love the guy, but we need to give his place in the side to a youngster, and we need list spots for the draft
  30. Infamy

Oppo Camp Deathriding Norf - "The Manlets"

So, you're saying at this rate they may start winning more than they lose by 2027?? We also know that improvement isn't linear, so maybe 2028 to be safe. Fair few retirements for players they've recruited by then as well could push that out to 2029 :D
