    Universal Love Charlie ‘Chook’ Constable

Absolutely, Joel Corey at 191cm was ahead of his time. I saw Bontempelli and Lynch go toe to toe in their last match and Bont really isn't that much shorter, which is staggering given Lynch plays as a key forward. The modern midfielders are all monsters. I reckon Constable has the frame to...

    Universal Love Charlie ‘Chook’ Constable

It's interesting, I was listening to a podcast today talking about this. The argument was Chook doesn't offer much ahead of the footy, but in seven games last year he kicked more goals (5) than Parfitt did in 20 games (4). Maybe I'm biased, but I honestly fail to see to downside of having a...

News Jack Steven in hospital after possible assault

Where has it been reported he was stabbed in the street? Could quite easily have happened at a residence. Again, you're purely speculating.

News Jack Steven in hospital after possible assault

This. How one can possibly hang a bloke out to dry so quickly without any actual facts? Damian Barrett said Steven took himself to hospital at 1am, but as of now it's not been reported what happened in the lead-up to his stabbing. It might be worth waiting for some before heaping blame on the...

AFLW AFLW Season 4, 2020 - Mega Thread

I'd definitely be keen to have a read of that. Smaller grounds may not be the answer, I just can't help but feel that if scoring stays low people will continue to pot the competition, which just isn't a fair argument. Anything that can increase scoring needs to be implemented IMO.

    Review The decade that was.

Cheers guys. Yeah it was bloody hard, not going to lie haha it makes you realise just how many close games the Cats have been involved in over the years. Could easily have filled a top 20!

    Review The decade that was.

Bit late to the party on this one, but I've ranked what I think were our best 10 wins of last decade. In hindsight, probably would've put the Melbourne mauling in over the Kangaroos game. What were yours? https://geelongcatsblog.com/afl/geelong-cats-10-best-wins-of-last-decade-ranked/

Opinion Is Josh Jenkins in our best 22?

I'm a big believer that Jenkins, Hawkins, Stanley and Sav can fit in the same forwardline. The Tigers played a 2 x tall forwards, 2 x ruckman set up in the 2019 GF, so did West Coast in 2018. Would ease the pressure on Hawk sigificantly.

AFLW AFLW Season 4, 2020 - Mega Thread

Hey all, bit of a shameless plug but I'm aiming to do a write up on the Cats' AFLW games each week. Here's the first one: https://geelongcatsblog.com/aflw/cats-dockers-game-proves-what-aflw-needs-is-time/ I thought Hickey was solid across half back, but was impressed most by the youngsters...

39.3 is really getting technical. He had multiple 1000+ run Shield seasons. If someone was putting up those numbers now they'd walk into the Australian Test team

Roast The media....*Shakes Head* Part 6

My mate had a chat with former Freo player Cam Sutcliffe about signing on with the Port Magpies for 2019 if anyone is interested in having a read. SA lad, grew up in Kadina before being drafted to the Dockers. Was even playing a bit of social basketball back on the Yorke Peninsula before signing...

    Round 2 Discussion

Yep, was really tossing up between him and Parker going in to round one. Really thought he'd break out this season but apparently Scott doesn't rate him as a pure midfielder... corrective trade on the way tonight haha

Happy with 2418 first up. Concerned about Duncan being on report, but you'd hope to see that thrown out. :thumbsu: GAJ, Pridda, Nic Nat, Danger, Hall, Johannisen, Rich, Duncan, S. Gray (plus not having Fyfe, Pendles, Rocky). Greene the only real blemish. Expecting him to bounce...
