Could be wrong but I and many here rate him as a solid B+ with the potential to be an A-grader. ACL will be close to 18 months so I don’t think that’ll be an issue.
38-45 off the top of my head seems the sweet spot for Fs/academy picks, any chance we have the next pick after Dogs, if so they’d wanna nail that one. Effectively p17. LDU should be the aim next year and kick a few picks down the road for Cadman/Reid.
No surprise with WC & Poort 💩 after combining to hand us LH. Think we continue out best poker face with BS. CO you’d think I’d done unless there’s some murmurs tonight. Think we start clearing cap space and 3xR1’s for HR if he gives us the heads up for 2027.
💭 out First is about right for BS given the strength of the draft. Future First being held back for a few reasons - too much competition, could go pear shaped if we slide, CO, other fish to fry next year or two..
Not Geelongs problem Dogs let him run down his contract, played him out of position, only offered 2 years allegedly - the fact Geelong don’t have a top 10 pick sounds more like a you problem than an us problem and expect it to play out as such.
Simple fix for FS would be an independent panel to determine the worth of players and picks to be used - eg. they say Ashcroft is worth pick 1 at the start of trade period if Brisbane put their hand up they take their rd 1 then 2 etc. off them until they meet the points.
On the flip side a midfield of prime Guthrie-Smith-Oliver trumps any combination we could’ve rolled out this season.
Could be wrong but remember Kelly-Ablett-Bartel playing VFL early doors in a much weaker side, can see him having a dozen solid games next year then breaking out in 2026.
Dermie suggesting CO take a pay cut to stay at Melbourne if he’s prepared to take one to get to us - what are they smoking over there at Glenferrie..? Hate for Geelong is palpable and delicious.
