Yes Tiger we all know that Tumba have never won a seniors flag. Now does that make you feel better. And no we are not knocking BW just lame old jokes about inbreds.
Didn't see Kelly mentioned anywhere but the Tumba paper had Oliver Breust from North Wagga also going to Tumba and Wade McPherson maybe returning. Looks like they will be a completely new team in 2012.
From the papers and from what Max has posted here it looks like Tumba are gaining Marc Sheppard, Andrew Higginson, Shane and Chase McIntosh and James Burgess from Marrar, Paul Hallcroft from North Wagga, Michael Kenny from Billabong Crows and have Scott Wolters and John Cameron returning. But...
Thanks Max for helping keep this great game going in Tumba. It's great to see some of the local kids developing into top players in the league. That Premiership has eluded the club for so long but that will just make it all the more special went it happens.
There was a court case a few years ago in Perth where a softball player sued the council and won as she had broken her ankle in a hole on the playing field.
I would hate to see lawyers getting involved in sport but those who are in charge of the sports fields do have a responsibility to...
Folau may not become an elite AFL player but his value in influencing Polynesian kids to take an interest in AFL and hopefully playing the game will be of enormous value to GWS.
A team with a few players like Nic Natanui would be exciting to watch.
Gee you are an angry old tiger.
So which club is going to have too many players?
Maybe they should stop buying players and stick to locals.
If you have a problem with too much running then bring the boundary in a few metres.
So Hayes from Corryong gets 14 weeks but what has happened to the Walwa player?
Can we put a name to him? Don't get much news about the UM League in Perth.
Considering that Tumba have never won a Premiership and have struggled along even folding a few years ago, it is a credit to Max and a few committed locals that the club has keep going. They have played second to the rugby club for years so a few wins is encouraging and hopefully will get a few...
Well done Maxy. Great to see Tumba with a couple of early wins. Should help a few locals to decide to play footy instead of rugby.
I'm sure all teams would love to recruit 6 - 8 players mega but there is always the problem of having the money to pay them and actually getting players to go to...
Sounds like there is a chance that the Tumba Rugby League Club may fold next year which will mean a lot more local players and sponsorship money will go to the Aussie Rules club. With their strong under 16 team we could see Tumba dominate the Upper Murray in the next few years.
