Whilst Templestowe are a stable club, they wouldn't be any better on field than the top few in D3 over the last few seasons and they've really had next to no impression on the EFL since they moved there over 20 years ago. D3 please if they come back.

Resa must be shattered by now....only won 6 quarters for the season and only kicked about 50 goals in 12 matches. The last quarter on Saturday can't be good for anyone....... and they have Burra this coming week.

He's not on the list of players cleared from Whittlesea or to Laurimar though and clearances are now closed...... It actually goes against the path that the Power are on to play their kids and get them experienced for the future.... they're going to be good enough.

Carelli gave most of these kids senior games over the last 2 seasons when they were still qualified for U19 footy and now they're ready to be solid senior players! I'd call that 'development'.

Actually you're right Herman. When I look at Sporting Pulse it goes R15 and then R17 for the VFL with R16 (03/08) on the far LHS showing up before R1. Not sure why that happens.... but it looks like they will be playing Box Hill that day. Mont play Epping so you'd hope that they would win that...

There are 2 more weekends where the VFL don't play and the NFL do. 13 July and 3 August. In addition to this, later in the season, the VFL boys may be released to play the run into the finals at Mont anyway. Bendigo Gold are getting hammered every week, so it won't matter much to them...

14 rounds worth of improvments, loss of form, injuries, the worst of the weather, ground conditions and desperate sides playing for their D1 lives yet! That's a lot of variables. I think by R12-13 the field of 'contenders' for D2 will thin out a bit and we will see only a couple slugging it...

Warrandyte are struggling at the moment in EFL D3..... but are a firmly entrenched EFL club. I reckon a senior club coming out of Laurimar is the most likely scenario in the next few seasons. True enough, will worry a lot of sides coming out of the goal square....as long as he and Fairchild can work things out between them. The other point is well made too though, you'd think they would contend next season in D2... so what happens if they win it and bounce back up?
