Re: Carey Is an angry man: Psychologist
Do you Bummbers ever learn?
So bloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooody sanctimonious
Google the name - Kirzon. There is an ABC news report stating Vic Pol told and INTERSTATE club to check on a couple of its players.
And what came of it -...
You loser, why don't you go back to Bomberland.
It is so amazing how the media and public have either forgiven or overlooked Gary Ablett and Ben Cousins and their small misdemeanours. And Cousins' father stands actually supports his son.
Did I miss the media interviews given by those...
Shinboners,
This is like 'Chinese Whispers'. I have never overtly supported Laidley per se, but I have always supported the coach of the North Melbourne Football Team. I have supported him as a past North Player and a part of a Premiership team.
My point - I just remember the bagging...
Like being (at the moment) the only high profile person in the media to state North should remain a Melbourne-based club?:thumbsu:
At least, at the very least, he is being heard. Even the board can't cut through the media garbage.
And if you don't think Carey has an impact, imagine if...
I think the issue that everyone is trying to evade, is how best can North survive - as Carey stated - not for the next 10 years but for the next 100 years.
If North need to play some games interstate - and that looks like the Gold Coast, why not do so on our own terms?
Afterall, Hawthorn...
A team can hardly "excel of the field" if the membership base is low. More members = more sponsorship = more financial benefit. Even Collingwood understood that equation. And they also had the latent supporter base to challenge their supporters to become financial members.
Whilst I agree...
My goodness, I have another one.:thumbsd:
DarwinRoo, Carlton won back-to-back wooden spoons. To me that would suggest, that the team is struggling at the moment. Never said, suggested, implied or inferred that Carlton would be on the bottom forever.
And by using your logic, the Weagles...
Well DarwinRoo,
Thommo IS certainly struggling now. He is on crutches. :thumbsd:
North trained for nearly 5 months and I woul have thought that the players would have some level of fitness. To play one of (our few leaders) and very good players in a scratch match is stupid.
The...
Do you know I can still see the devastion on his face when the merger was not allowed to proceed. :(
Ron Casey loved North with a passion.
If there was someone like him with his vision and commitment to North, all this rubbish would be solved.
Michele
GO THE MIGHTY ROOBOYS
Read Bob Ansett's take on the AFL meeting with some shareholders without the board's permission.
*chuckle, chuckle*
I would be very surprised if Ron Joseph didn't also own any shares.
........."Just heard a small grab from Laidley on SEN, pleading with the Board, shareholders to sort out the mess. ..............."
If Laidley said that - as quoted - he is an idiot.
Apart from Pagan leaving, I haven't and I don't bag the board, coach or players.
He has to show...
Woodson,
Journalism is a profession. Surely, journos should at least try and be accurate.
If you are willing to excuse their ill-informed reporting as 'ingnorant', I am not. If they get someone wrong, admit it and move on.
At least then, they would have some credibilty.
Supporters. If...
Shinboners,
Cute. Very cute. You are deliberately distorting the context of what I said and what I meant.
Last year, there were many on this board calling for Laidley's head.
North implements a 'radical' change to our training schedule to fix our "last half game fadeouts".
NAB...
What utter self-righteous pomposity. :thumbsd:
Move over Pope Benedict, because there quite a few on this board who obviously have the credentials to become the next pope.
And these same paragons of moral virtue will also state categorically that no one player/individual is above the...
Hey Rooboy,
And to think that when I was so very vocal of how supporters didn't repond to the many negative media reports, I was told I was 'too passionate'.
And when I was very critical of negative of media reports, I was too 'defensive' ......)...........and (supporters) don't want to be...
Let's see if you can comprehend what I actually say, not what YOU think I say.
The moderator responded to one of my posts - prior to the Hawthorn game - by telling me, essentially that I should go to the games to get an 'informed opinion' and that Wayne didn't know what he was talking about...
I don't know who you are - but I did have a chuckle at the personal comment jibe from RB.
Now to my point, if you are stating DeRauch knew of this meeting, why didn't he - as very significant shareholder - wasn't he informed of the meeting?
And why was Ron Joseph, a board member - also not...
Oh no! But you told me just how much 'as a North member' I had to look forward to. :p
In fact, you actually said that should attend the games so I could see this for myself. And that Wayne should also attend the games because as he didn't see North, he didn't know what he was talking...
QUOTE=Hearts to hearts;7163859]Carey has more than a great footy brain - he has the supernatural gift of knowing what North should be doing and what Dean is doing wrong, without even having to watch the team play.
You might need to start watching or going to games instead of listening in...
I can quite honestly say after listening to Carlton get a run-on and not only get near North's score, but get ahead, I turned off the radio.
Similarly last week's effort. Listening to the game was pure torture. Apparently the 3rd quarter was disgraceful - by both sides - and yet in the...
Agree! Kicking to a congestive forward line without a strong marking option is not great footy.
When North did go to our goals, Port was able to run the ball out from our forward line.
The game against Carlton in the NSB cup was very defensive. North were up by 6 goals and LOST.
The same happened last week against Collingwood. North has a 5 goal lead and LOST.
I will go out on a limb here and say I think Carey knows just a little bit more about footy than all Bigfooty...
Woodson,
Do you know for a fact that Carey has not spoken to Longmire. They are friends.
Carey is frustrated with the club's direction - or lack thereof and it shows. And I would hazard a guess that that is the reason for him speaking out. And no, the timing is not great and something...
This is a good post.
- Of course I must have imagined the divisions in the boardroom.
- And for those who used this forum to plead their case for supporters to vote for them in the uncoming boards elections.
- And for the fact that Carey admitted a number of times that his...
What are you another Caro?
I am involved in an area where the media deliberately put a spin on subject and that a quote taken out of context does change the whole dynamic of what was actually said.
Your spin on Carey stating that he doesn't want to be an assistant coach for North...
