1. Where on the 2014 ladder will Hawthorn finish? Top 4
2. Who do you think will be the Hawks' leading goal kicker in 2014? Roughead
3. Who do you think will be Top 3 in the Hawthorn's best and fairest for 2014? Roughead, Schoey and Smith.
4. Who do you think will poll the most votes for...
Sadly the media is harsh, they were hoping he would slip up and answer something in a way they could twist and create a story from. It wasn't until someone (Hawthorn person) asked if they had any questions for Billy or James that they asked them anything, even then it was brief before getting...
He captained the side whilst Hodge was injured for the first part of 2012, and played the best football of his career. Leadership isn't all about talent, though he certainly doesn't need more talent to be a captain.
We seem to get very good players for less than their value, it's a fantastic trend which hopefully continue's with Garlett. I hope he picks up some good traits watching Burgers, Cyril, Jed and the rest of our leaders go about their pre-season.
Also, if we were to pick him up is it possible to...
I too have PM'd you, it seems I was a few minutes late :(
Also, if anyone has a spare ticket, Adult or Concession anywhere, standing or a seat, PM me please. I can't afford the 1000 for an ebay ticket!
After watching that game, I would hate to be selecting the final spot.
It became much more open with Simpkin being best on ground. Doc, Cheney and Spang were all very good too. Savage and Jed were good but didn't star.
Talent wise I'd say yes, but if he does stuff up off field he could potentially bring down other young players with him. I'd rather we give a less talented player a go, who will give 100% effort every week.
In saying all that, if he has cleaned up his act we would have a better chance than...
Normally watching Buddy makes me happy, not depressed! I don't even want to think about if he leaves.
Also, the Bulldogs must really hate him. Most of the highlights were against them!
No wonder Lake came here, it was the only way to avoid Bud.
We were too big, it made the players feel justified when blazing away with long bombs in to the 50. Buddy doesn't enjoy it, Roughy never looked like marking a ball and Hale had 2 against him in every contest. The first 20 minutes of the last quarter is something the midfield/half forward line...
Unlucky for Langford if he doesn't come in. I'll be watching Anderson, Hill, Simpkin and Wanganeen, and covering my eyes every time someone looks to be in pain.. Is Frank expected to play AFL this year? He's a great story, but he needs to improve greatly this year to stay on our list IMO.
Would love to see Anderson and Hill on a wing each, and let them compete for a round 1 spot. Wanganeen should set his sights on Puopolo's spot for the NAB cup.
Like everyone else I was impressed with Langford, wouldn't mind seeing him against the doggies young mids.
It's shocking to see people still have opinions from the early 20th century.
I wasn't sure about the idea because I didn't think the football public needed it, but clearly some do. If it changes the attitude of 1% of people it will be well worth it. I'll be there, not because I'm gay, but...
In no particular order:
Tippett

Chapman (que aggressive cat supporters with outrageous arguments)
Boak
Nic Nat
T. Cloke
Wellingham
J. Brown
Boyd

Beating a younger J. Stringer in a training session 1 v 1 for Catholic College Bendigo a few years ago, considering his ability and size advantage (I was the shortest, thinnest player at training) I was extremely pleased. Within a minute I tore ligaments in my ankle, it was embarrassing...
This is true, pathetic draw by the AFL. Can't believe the round 23 game against Sydney is happening, at ANZ of all places!
We play against West Coast in round 13 for the second time, at Etihad. Any reason we're playing home games at Etihad?
Hey everyone,
I'm in the same boat as everybody else really, I've been reading for a few years now and figured I should join up!
I've been a Hawks supporter my whole life, despite having a family of Essendon and Richmond Fans! Looking forward to talking about our 2013 success with everyone...
