The guy has been leaking his version of news to the same journalist for years. More about self promotion than what's better for the club or competition.
The CEO walked out last week. People targeted to replace her decline the job because it is a no win situstion.
A board member seems intent on leaking negative team information to the media because he wanted to keep Monaghan (and doing it by having very public lunches with the journalist so they...
Wouldn't have thought I was the one being defensive but anyway let's try again to get it back topic.
Do you think Phil Smarts decision to sign Hampson will damage team morale considering senior players and coaches voted overwhelmingly and unanimously against signing him?
Anyhow back on topic. Lachlan Riley is a great pick up by Swans. Could be a good club player for a decade. Nice of Swans to help him work out if he spends more time at his Fathers or Mothers house which I'm sure was confusing him. Now he can just focus in the football.
1. Can be common practice by sporting clubs. Know of one country cricket club who only used half a dozen chooks for a whole season draws in the Thursday night chook raffle. The frozen ticket is the usual trick.
2. Not that hard if it is the goal.
3. Might be tricky but the odds would definitely...
Of course. I know how most sporting fundraisers can be run to increase the benefits to the club.
Just finding the believability level from the general public. So now I know no one will worry when, er sorry, if Harry Marsh wins $20000 in a similar Subiaco organised game of chance.
Just bringing another perspective to the salaray cap discussion. I know what the suggestion would be if Horse won a similar Subiaco jackpot. But again our players aren't that lucky.
Our players aren't lucky enough to win almost $14000 in a club endorsed competition. You know like Tony Notte winning the Swans chase the ace jackpot this year.
Any post, no matter what it contains, voices the opinion of the author. Unless of course if it is a pure quote from a third party.
Was I "taking the piss" out of Venables or simply putting forward my opinion that some posters were getting a bit carried away with the comparisons? I mean Cyril...
You're right again. Everyone who has an opinion that is slightly different to the popular perception should sit quietly in the corner and keep it themselves. It's the only way no one will be caught out being wrong and what happens in real life.
Not being pedantic. Just pointing out it is a go to excuse used for years and years. The Travis Gaspar, Andrew McDougall strategy.
Just like great defensive pressure is used as a positive because it is largely an opinion based comment that can't be measured.
Can we please get a running list of who Venables is like? So far I have Judd, Dangerfield, Ablett, Rockliff, Cyril Rioli, Cousins. Pretty sure I've missed quite a few.
Don't be gullible, easy to blame someone else when you don't want to do it anyway. West Coast have never been open with fans when it comes to information about the players. No way they want vision of every game available to their fans.
Sorry but that is a silly idea. Why would any club use valuable lists spots to top up their development sides. Especially picking up a kid who would struggle to get a game in any WAFL league side next year.
If they wanted them for their WAFL side they could have recruited them after the draft.
Kept hearing that teams were not interested in Hill. Could still slide a fair bit.
Only one WA kid so far. Doesn't look good for the new corporate WAFL colts system.
