Perhaps, but second half of the season was when we were down King and both Caminiti and Sharman were inconsistent (Sharman the better of the two). King being back to his best shifts everyone down a spot and I absolutely believe that Sharman can slot into that 3rd tall role.
True but only the first 3 are really Best 23 starters and Clark's is minor so probably wont be much of a setback. Henry is able to do running blocks so his fitness isnt going to be too far off genuine fitness come the season.
Dow's is a worry though as it might put him back a month, With a fit...
Battle is the only one of those outs who can honestly be considered to have had a good to excellent season. Membrey was very in and out and whilst we will miss him, Sharman is capable of filling that 3rd tall role and average similar numbers.
Its funny though, my active dislike for other clubs...
My guess is that the contract is signed up paper work cannot be lodged until the 14th of Feb so he cant be officially announced until then. Just my guess though.
Finals will be 100% dependent on our injuries. If we can keep the top 20 players out on the park we will make finals. Otherwise we are gonna struggle as our depth is very reliant on kids to step up which is difficult across a season.
His ankle is going to be long term cooked from a high performance point of view. This is going to be fine for a lock down defender but Lyon and Enright want a running game plan and he just wont be able to provide that as much as is required.
Just my theory anyway.
Clarke ranks across his stats in about the 60 - 80th spot across midfielders. This puts him at about the 3/4th best midfielder averaged across an AFL list which seems about right for him so far. He would easily slot into any other midfield in the competition and fill that 4th man role.

I feel like everyones been pretty measured about it all honestly. The biggest wraps people are making are the young guy's approach which is objectively at a high standard.
The "powerful stuff" is largely the highly curated learning models that software companies have been using for the last decade.
The big difference with general access AI is that it uses models taken from massive scraping of the internet. This gives it a lot of information to draw from and also...
Campbell was always a decent tap ruckman even at AFL level. His mobility was the issue at the highest level though. Its great he's managed to follow on at Melbourne though but sucks Sandy wont have him next year.
That trade from North was absolute insanity. In 10 months time we will be sitting here discussing the surprising talent still available between the academy selections and how clubs are definitely going to want a top 5 pick to secure X player.
Blues have lost a decent amount of depth over the off season which is a worry for them if they start to have injuries again. Their problem is they are a very good team who should be genuinely competing in finals right now but are just coming up short which means your depth are going to start...
Well, he actually started kicking more then handballing really

But youre right in that he was evidently following coaching instructions to find an easier target who is "shoulders forward" rather then blaze away without looking or...
I dont think it was intended as any sort of knock on the dogs at all, but its clear that the extra running sessions were different to his previous seasons.
I mean, it makes sense. The Dogs dont have a heavy running game style.
What exactly does that mean? The article is nothing but them repeating "Family club" over and over without quantifying it one bit. They are getting paid under the table, it's simple as shit.
He/his partner are getting paid basically under the table through hawthorn connections. It's no coincidence Lyon was talking it up in the media recently.
Theres a lot of cap rorting bubbling under the surface with some of the clubs and its a matter of time when one of them accidentally leaves...
I believe its more of an attempted vote gainer then anything else tangibly positive. Labor can turn around and talk about this victory by getting the libs on board and how such an easy change will protect your children etc..
Its an easy victory for them as the cost of living and housing issues...
Hawks will miss finals next year. Like us in 2020 they were very fortunate with a very healthy list and optimal timing versus their opponents. They have topped up like we did trying to fill holes but it wont work and their general game plan will have been worked out and shut down.
