No, you absolutely DO have to chase those players. Player deals are months, if not years in the planning. We would have been talking to all available players we were interested in since the start of last season. You talk about Geelong, the reason they pulled off the "Bowes and Pick 7" fiasco...

    Roast AFL Nepo Babies Rort

Why the **** would or should we listen to the supporter of a club that lobbied and bribed to keep recruitment zones from being rightfully transferred to St Kilda in the 70s, the same zones that facilitated your multiple premierships and doomed us to a decade of wooden spoons. Who then...

I believe its more that Cornes wouldnt agree with the salary and draft capital that they will have to spend. 3x first rounders is a massive amount for one player and its looking like Port may need to be doing a mini rebuild for a couple of years under a new coach. Anyone would back getting a...

The bit on 360 here. Look its no guarantee but if Gary Lyon is as close to SOS as someone else said.. and the fact it just LOOKS like he's sitting on something but cant exactly say it then I reckon he might have some pretty close mail.

Predicts that we might have a Nas re-resigning this week. He does say he is just "guessing" but his body language was anything but that in my opinion.

Preview 2025 Penultimate round; Essendon Bombers v St Kilda Saints, Marvel Stadium, Docklands, Friday 15th August 7:20pm AEST

Debuting as a ruck in your first year is very uncommon. Looks like we may have a real gem here.

Its not really a list decision that makes any sense. They are STACKED full of midfielders and could have traded down last year to get Tauru and a 2nd rounder which would have been far more useful and balanced their list better. It smells of vague interest being talked up in managerial...

The media basically act like a snow ball in my opinion. They started off with Aleer at 800k (which looks like it would be base plus match payments plus incentives etc..) or so last year and every report about every player since has been getting more and more outrageous and I think it finally...

Rory Sloane basically stated the reason for all the bullshit that clubs cant really say, its the player managers attempting to pull sway to make as much money as possible. I get that its their jobs but lately their actions are genuinely hurting clubs ability to nnegotiate fairly and it needs to...

Whats genuinely interesting is exactly how these offers are going to be structured. These huge amounts being ponied around are based on estimates of what the salary cap MAY look like 2028 and beyond which at this point is pure speculation and may not be as big as expected. The 2027 salary cap...

    Nas Brownlow

I bet he wont get a single vote for the Melbourne game because we spent 3 quarters being shit and theyll give it to Petracca or someone else. Like a game years ago where Riewoldt kicked like 5 goals 30 dispsosals or something stupid and didnt poll a single vote.. but his opponent got 3.

Its around the 500k mark at the moment and is only going up about 10% by 2027 from what google is bringing up. I would guess that Windhager is being offered in the 600k range but is seeking closer to that 850 but Is that kind of money suitable for current B grade player? Dont get me wrong, I...

His first two seasons were poor and that was playing in an extremely good Richmond side, not as a small forward in a disfunctional saints forward setup. Collard has plenty of time to make it yet.

I am very very skeptical of Steele having any interest in West Coast at all or if he's even considering a move genuinely. He has two years of his contract left with St Kilda which will be on very good money. West Coast are going to have to pay him a huge amount over that to get him to move to a...

Preview 2025 AFL Season, Round 22: Richmond Tigers v St Kilda Saints, M.C.G, Wurundjeri, 1:20pm Saturday, 9th of August

Sucks for Byrnes, he is a more then capable player despite what some people on here think. So two forced changes now. Pou and Wilson the most likely.

Thing is, those players who did move usually by this point have actually met opposition clubs in some capacity. I dont see any actual mention of either Port or Adelaide having serious talks with Nas, it all seems to be through his manager so far. No guarantees in this world but my gut is that...

Autopsy Saints beat North in close one and Naz gives his biggest hint yet that he’s staying.

Every north game for the last 3 years (aka, clarksons time) has been a dire mess of a game. I dont know if they or even we change up some game plan stuff or not but it just absolutely grinds the game down. Kind of like how the dogs just brutalize us one week then next week spud it up, just...

Yep. People judge him far too harshly on his 2024 year where he was obviously still hampered by his shoulder surgery and continued to have knee injuries through out the season until he did the PCL. Im still very much in the camp that he will get back to full fitness as well.

Port will HAVE to trade Butters because there is no way they can afford 2 million a year in cap space without letting some big contracts go. There is no way in hell they have banked enough cap space over the last couple of years whilst attempting to compete at the pointy end of the ladder.
