I brought in Burgoyne for Mitchell, but only because I already have Swallow. Last week was his only score under 100 for the season so far, and I reckon he's a better bet to hold his form than Burgoyne
Yeah, Higgins and JKH both have some money to make, so I'm probably a few weeks away from making the trade. The other one is Gray - unless Zorko's looking reliable I think it might actually be him and Parker I bring in. Both very consistent, looking every bit like top 10 fwds...won't have the...
Are there many more promising rookie backs yet to debut this year...weighing up Gardiner and Tippet, both pretty uninspiring. Gardiner looks like he might be a bit like Georgiou, safe enough in the side but rarely getting over 50
Maybe consider Hooker (35k more) or Burgoyne (+50k) instead of Hurn, if you can afford it. Burgoyne's top end scores are higher...Hooker is pretty consistent, probably underpriced at 475, ranked in top 5 or 6 defenders at the moment
Went Mitchell > Burgoyne, Dunstan > McVeigh, LMac > Gardiner
80k in the bank.
Thought i'd leave it till next week to decide between Hartung and Acres. Thoughts?
This is how I will be going into round 8. 82k in the bank, only 17 trades left. Might leave ruck as is, have bigger things to worry about - getting Selwood and Griffen/Stevie J, plus will need two more premo backs and one forward. Will field 16-18 this week.
One of my trades was Dunstan for...
Rockliff or Priddis? Which one will score more over the remainder of the season? Want to trade out for SJ. Don't care about the extra 50k i get trading Priddis; dont have enough trades left to make it work for me. Just want to trade out the player who will score less.
Shaw is 120k more than Hanley, but until his last three games Hanley's average was over 110. He was pretty close to the form defender, and not just over a few weeks but the first ten rounds. Was he injured three weeks ago when he scored in the 40s? Because at least against the cats there was the...
I'd keep Vlaustin; I was on the dumping bandwagon before, but he's only had one bad game since he started. His first score was low because he was sub.
Keep Goodes too Before the richmond game his scores were 86, 90, 96, so he's still value.
I think trade Hartlett. He seems to have lost a lot of...
Leaving Buddy and Swan out of initial side for the year; saved a bunch.
Not getting on Hanley a few weeks ago; losing patience with Monfries when his early form started drying up, but sticking with JJK during a flat patch.
Choosing Vlaustin before his third game (where a massive ton); ignoring...
Trading out Gunston after a couple bad games early in the year. Doing same to Houli and Roughead early, to avoid a price drop.
Bringing Hartlett in after rd 5 - unmitigated disaster. Wasn't even very familiar with him as a player; just mindlessly followed the numbers/pre-season form guides...
For some reason it won't let me post a picture of my side, copy-pasted from herald sun website. Says its too long, even when I removed any writing from me.
Anway, here:
Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Birchall, Hartlett, Goodes, Vlaustin (Thurlow, Pittard)
Mid: Ablett, Pendlebury, Swan, Watson, JPK...
Like your backline, and no major problems with midfield - looking how it should for this time of year. Possibly leave backs as they are; if you only have 4 trades, you probably don't have the luxury of trading a Goodes yet (I'm in a very similar position). Of course, if he keeps scoring 60s...
