i feel like weidemann's vfl form last year gets better every week. one of those things like the 'list we were building before the saga' that seems to get better the further it goes into the rear view.
give you a break? his voice sounds nice, it's just a statement of fact. it may be the bare minimum but plenty don't, have you had the pleasure of listening to justin langer or david warner this summer?
he doesn't stutter, he enunciates and doesn't have a particularly strong accent, his voice has a pleasing resonance.
is it really that hard to figure out why a guy like that would get a job on telly.
he's 19 and has a bit of bravado. anyone remember ponting coming through? virtually all of warnie's career? cricket and especially test cricket is a heavily mental game.
apparently people on this board would walk every time they're given not out, never give lip to an opponent, and sit back in judgement if their opponent tried to have a crack.
some strange takes here. bumrah was frustrated by obvious time-wasting, konstas decided to get involved from the other end, got told off by a champion of his era, bumrah took the wicket of konstas's team mate.
fair play.
on it goes. test cricket isn't sanitised entirely yet.
what a test. wonder how much rabada's t20/ipl training schedules have forced him to learn to bat like that.
he stole the momentum very quickly. he was a bunny not that many years ago.
unreal game this. two wonderful tests simultaneous. why would anyone watch big bash.
not really sure whether jansen needs to calm things down or let rabada cook.
jaiswal was over half way down the pitch and kohli was ball-watching, not listening, not moving. jaiswal was running to the danger end. it is his call. players do not dishonour calls in that manner multiple times a game.
if he went to the call he was either out to a blinding direct hit or safe. if he stands there and says no then his team mate is out guaranteed. obviously, there's no time to weigh that up in the moment. but that's why the rule is to honour the call.
why do people say this moronic shit. he doesn't even have a child. let alone a child that's not only good at football but good enough to be drafted in the first 30 picks where an f/s discount would actually mean anything. and that would be best case 19 years away.
hell he might have a negative...
they'll get docked again despite flogging a team away from home in less than three days. totally irrelevant shit at this point. alienates viewers from the WTC imo. given that every side seems to lose points for it, you're better off actually not even playing to a degree.
how are they trying to force him to be a prodigy? he plays his role. no one is out there actively talking him up as anything. his build, his youth, and his spin bowling... what else is there to select a player on?
he's a 20 year old spinner for a side that barely plays on the fourth let alone fifth day of the match. lots of work to do but i think he's coming along.
you should only use quotation marks when someone actually said those words. it was howie who brought up england's precocity and tempo of cricket to praise.
