Get on board! BF Supercoach season 2024

My season started off great. Was flying and came out of the byes super confident and the rest of the year was ripped to shreds with injury after injury after suspension. Had multiple donuts every game.

Then you don't get him. I feel like you don't really understand how free agency works. You have to pay more to prise players away from their clubs.

Rumour 2024 Hypothetical trade and FA Thread

For now. I think talent wise, he's a better player than both Worpel and Nash and will push them to the fringe in time. Last week, e seemed to play with a freedom he hasn't exhibited before and did things that were instinctual, rather than concentrate on structure etc. Once he has the confidence...

Rumour 2024 Hypothetical trade and FA Thread

I think he has the traits, just needs to spend time playing in his chosen position, which is hard at present. He may never get to gun status, but he'll be a very solid player for the club.

Analysis Hawks 2022 Hypothetical trades (read the pinned post)

You do understand that it's Gunston's decision to leave right? The club offered him a deal. He turned it down and chose to join Brisbane as a Free Agent. There's nothing the club can do.

Take it with a fistful of salt. But from what I know of this nuffy, he takes legit info from journos and passes it off as his own.

And about damn time. We haven't had a good Hawthorn melt for a while.

While I agree with your message, I find it intriguing that you use two versions of 'there' and 'their' in the same sentence, to mean the same thing.

I don't mind the playing ratings aspect. What I find a little irritating is the weird rating system they seem to have. "Yeah I thought he played pretty well. More than solid. Did his job. I give him a 4." "Thought he was exceptional today. Easily best on ground. I give him 7." WTF?

Criticism when warranted is fine. Creating an entire personality around being absolutely negative is wearisome and unecessary. You want balanced insights not "Angry Brad is coming off the long run again..." I can't fathom how after everything this club has achieved over the years, especially...

Nah, he does it on the Hawks Insiders podcast too. Gotta say, the 'Angry Brad' shtick is so fricken old. It feels so contrived.

Autopsy Round 17, 2022: Hawthorn wins its 1000th game with a win over the Crows

No way. Maginness was fantastic. Day can come in for someone else, but definitely not Maginness. Finn needs to play the rest of the season.

Autopsy Round 17, 2022: Hawthorn wins its 1000th game with a win over the Crows

My favourite part of that game was when the season ended and I could scour the cheap U/17s to find the regen versions of retired superstars.

Think you've definitely undersold Scrimshaw here. He's at minimum Solid Performer, but I'd argue he's in the Potential Gem realm. Ultra consistent player and has had a really, really good year.

Realisitically, you don't need a grand piano to fall. A strategically hoiked keyboard will do the trick.

Last season JOM was on of a few players who consistently tried his guts out every game and led by example. I wouldn't worry too much about his effort in a practice match.

Yeah I know a few neutrals who actually rate us reasonably well. They see the young talent coming through and reckon we'll be thereabouts in the next couple of years. Everyone I have spoken to contends our midfield needs the most work but we have three top 25 draft picks this season and who...

While I understand how people draw parallels between the Buddy and Titch situations, I contend that the circumstances are vastly different. At the time we lost Buddy, we were the top team in the AFL. Yes he was our best forward, but we had a lot of talent, not just in the forward line, but all...

Strategy 2021 Draft and Hypothetical pick trade proposals

I think this a bit of a misnomer. Mitchell is an absolute professional and could potentially play till he's 35. Yes Cerra is younger, but there's still no guarantee he plays for 10-12 years and be a better player. I'd argue that 5-6 years of Mitchell would be better than 5-6 years of Cerra. The...

The pace of the midfield isn't so much the issue, it's the lack of skills. None of them had the surgical precision the midfield of the threepeat error did.
