I don't think Caracalla was the mercenary type.
Salary cap pressure at both Essendon and Brisbane eventually caught up to him and he went to Collingwood after. He was a good player and gave his all at the Lions.
Levi appeared on the Rush Hour podcast with JB and Billy yesterday (from 46:29 onwards).
It's good to listen to his perspective on training with the Lions, Fages, the Lions midfield, his playing style, and his Brother, family, and former Lions players (who are now Coaches) influence on him...

Just wanna find out some information on standing room sections from people who have been at the MCG:
How early do you recommend getting there to ensure you're not standing behind so many people?
Is every standing bay open to everyone to go into or only the people ticketed to be there? If only...
We need to be a bit easier on Ashcroft. The guy has come back from a very serious injury which had him out for nearly a year! He's only 5 games in. Let him play and get his confidence back slowly. Anyone that has played footy and suffered a long time injury, would be aware of how much both the...
Things will slowly turn around. At least publicly and in training, they are showing a great attitude.
We played against a team that had a 10 day break at their home with our team having played majority of minutes last week. The collective resolve of the team is growing and we fought it to the...
As much as ideally I'd like to see us make finals, it actually might be a good thing if we miss it altogether and regroup with a better game plan and strategy.
We are the only team to play finals every year for the past five seasons. Sometimes a dip isn't a bad thing.
Dunkley is a solid back up ruckman.
We are getting the problems earlier in the season and hopefully the guys continue to learn from it. Hopefully we learnt to play in the wet from this game.
I think we should cut Dev more slack. He hasn't played regularly in the Seniors and being in and out, due to the circumstances, means he won't achieve the consistency as quickly. Payne last year was quite inconsistent too. He made a blunder in the Melbourne final by spoiling straight to Pickett...
Not comparing players at all, just comparing situations and needs with what I'm about to say:
Back in 01, Hawthorne drafted Hodge because he was the player they needed based on his qualities etc and what they wanted at the time. They could have also drafted Ball or Judd and still become a...
We don't need McKenna to be a superstar, we just need him to use his skill set the best way he can. That way, the team will have that slight percentage improvement as a result and if all the other players do that then as a team, we will make greater progress.
Great work by Ashcroft to choose that number. Learn from some of the best in the competition but also see, day in day out, how the other midfielders (also 2-3 of the competition's best) operate.
A fit and firing JL is only a good thing for our midfield. Competition will create higher level of performances throughout the midfield and to me, that will be one of the best things that can happen.
I also think your rise up the ladder depends heavily on your people at the top. If you have the right people, that is needed for your club for particularly the stage where it is at, then a lot of other things will start to take care of themselves.
We weren't a top 4 team when Hodge, Cameron...
GC are salary dumping so Geelong are taking a part of the cap off them so pick 7 was a cherry on top to create the market for taking that part of the cap on.
What went back the other way was just nominal to complete the requirements of a trade. Both clubs are benefiting, in their own way.
I agree, they are hard to win. It's not a linear process. All these finals experiences we are having are building the individuals within the team. A premiership is not always a guaranteed result of all these efforts but you always have to give yourself the best chance to get there.
Get off your high horse. Very presumptuous off you to say what you did. Both sides of the media present news in a way that suits their general narrative. I'd rather wait to hear about what actually happened from the impending investigation rather than go off one side of reporting.
I think we should keep things in perspective and see what other information comes out from all parties. It is easy to jump to conclusions from reading one side, especially something from ABC. Things are not always as black and white and I hated how some posters in here were keyboard bashing...
Not to say you're wrong but my perspective on this is that after seeing Des Headland play his heart out for us back in 02 and winning the GF, he still told us, after it all settled, that he wanted to be traded back home.
I know a lot of things have certainly changed since that time of course...
