The clock stops for all ball ups and throw ins regardless of whether the umpire crosses his arms or not in AFL matches. SANFL matches time continues to count down for ball ups unless the field umpire blows time off and time stops for throw ins.

Missus did this last year. She was quite pleased with her efforts. I happily rounded it to $1500 and it's probably going to fund small holiday for us mid year. She's doing it this year. We also put silver coins into a tin and any spare goodies into another as a bonus.

Actually I can see why they would allow it on a case by case basis. Having a baby I don't think would fall into any category that would amount to a hold on a membership. IMO neither would a work transfer but if it was me, I'd find someone who could use it (and pay for it!). Probably serious...

What was the paragraph you quoted? I didn't even realise you'd be able put your membership on hold. Seems unfair for those that are willing and able to fork out the cash for it. Especially now there is a waiting list. Absolutely understand the predicament your mate is in and sacrifices...
