The biggest thing that helped his game yesterday is that he wasn't the only forward pressuring. Rather than being the only one trying to stop 6 blokes he could just nail the 1 or 2. His pressure has been top notch all year, but there hasn't been others to help him out.
He is also underrated in...
Has he found an extra yard of pace and/or learnt how to hit a target? If not he get get 40 touches a week at vfl for I care. You can't have more than 1 or 2 of his type in your side in this day and age.
No 2019 thread yet?
Some pretty huge albums so far this year, but the most surprisingly brilliant album so far this year is without a doubt by a man that everyone will have heard of, yet may have previously dismissed. A guy who looked as though he may have been lost as a pop producer. However...
Double J is what has changed. Triple J have reduced the diversity of their music played since it was introduced. RBCF, TFS and Courtney Barnett put out three of the most critically acclaimed Australian albums (all made noise overseas) and would have been played historically but they were...
Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever were brilliant. They're just brilliant at writing songs. There's nothing revolutionary about their sound or the way they play, they just do it better than most others. They seemed legitimately stoked to be performing, and it was good to see them play many deeper...
Seeing Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever tonight. Caught them at laneway at the start of the year but am very keen to see a headline show with a new album.
Will probably catch British India on Nic's farwell tour, always a lot of fun live with a couple of beers
Then Gizzfest in a month and a...

I also intend to head along to Gizzfest in December
The new album from Devon Welsh is tremendous. It's not a massive step away from his work with Majical Cloudz, but a larger variety of instruments and tempo than gives it a breath of fresh air. Would go and see him in a heartbeat if he ventures to Australia
Slides straight into my top three...
There's an app on the google play store called castbox, which has a massive database of podcasts, including these captain call ones. I believe castbox can also be accessed via your internet browser. I assume it's on itunes too
Both of these are by products of a rule change that never had to happen though, being the third man up rule. All they had to do was allow teams to block the third man up. It would have meant less ruck contests with a third man up and none of this ridiculous nominating. It would have also still...
Possibly. My guess is that clubs will start drafting natural runners like Sam Gibson and Blicavs rather than natural footballers and within 10 years we'll have just as much congestion again only with worse skills.
Ziebell and Cunnington historiclly have had low time on ground %, i think we...
