Exactly. They organized the original slaughter and must have known what was going to happen, so they wanted this. The question is why, and what are they hoping to gain from the situation? (Obviously, not peace.) I asked this on the day of the original attack and still don't know the answer.
Does anyone else logical problems with the Government and press reactions to the death of the Australian in Ukraine?
The guy was an illegal volunteer or mercenary not acting on behalf of Australia. I would expect the Government reaction to be muted and no different from their reaction to the...
This is the crux of the matter. The war is between Israel, a state, and Hamas, a terrorist organization. The Palestinians have no role in negotiating any ceasefire, and how can a terrorist organization be taken seriously? The Palestinians should dissociate themselves from Hamas, but of course...
I think this is the main issue with Melbourne. I don't think pure list/coaching quality is as relevant. Let's face it, they are essentially down 3 star midfielders: if you took Rozee, Butters, and JHF out of Port, how would they look?
I also don't think that Petracca and Oliver want to leave...
I've always been a little unclear about that knee. Didn't he come to us with a bandaged knee and limp? Did he aggravate an old injury or do somethimng entirely new? It seemed chronic for a lot of last year.
Good match, except for the last-wicket partnership. The captain should have left D Short bowling to carry the momentum and get the last wicket at the appropriate time. The 40-odd runs lost here would have done a lot for our NRR. I don't believe I'm being wise after the event because I thought as...
Thanks again, Bigman. The main worry from this, apart from Murphy training well, is that Cook can't get the ball, even at training. I'm a great fan of his skills, but it's a big problem at this stage that he can't get more of the ball.
From Plantar Fasciitis? That seems an overeaction. Why doesn't he fix it like Harvey by jumping off the kitchen table? ;)
I've had it myself (Policeman's Heel), and also Cinema Goers Knee.
Well, guys, it's time to put your money where your mouths are. Nominations for the member-elected position on the AFC Board open on the 17th! You will have to satisfy certain criteria before being allowed to nominate, so we'll see how that goes.
You'll have to educate me here from afar. Olsen is the Chairman, a ribbon-cutting, political-influence role. Why is he taking the blame for a coach reappointment? Surely the CEO and his advisers have to cop that blame? Have I missed something?
I appreciate your point, but is the board the right place for Balme? The board is there mainly to make sure that the CEO doesn't send the club broke or break any politically-correct or other laws. Balme should provide football input in a more suitable position.
Having said that, I acknowledge...
I had no knowledge of Webster before this match, but he's a star.
He looked like the cleanest and most assured bat in our side in both innings, and he can attack as well.
The only thing I don't know now is whether he can play spin.
Konstas looks like a clown, but Webster looks like a player.
I can understand your view, but I think it was out.
The gain was obviously turned up, giving continuous background noise, but there was a definite sharpish transient appearing briefly as the ball kissed the glove. The amplitude was less than usual because it didn't hit the bat.
