i really dont blame people for not going. I stopped going too. i still had a ticket, but just hated going to AAMI. it was a shit hole, it was shit to get to, was shit to get home, was shit to get a beer, was shit to be cold there, and the team was playing shit.
i still used to watch every game...
my grandpa worked the docks too. I shamfully must admist that i did get a bit swept up in the crows hysteria of the mid 90's and even was supporting them in the GF's. naturally as soon as port came to the afl i started my journey of hating the crows. have to say i dont hate them as much anymore...
ok thats glass half empty approach. glass half full would be to say that part of our reival has been thanks to the thousands of people that are now coming out to support the club.
but you would qualify, as your a long term holder. OK lets look at it another way. if you lost your job at the end of last year, and this year could only afford a general admission as your living on the bones of your bum. Port get in the GF, and you overhear someone saying how they have tickets...
so back to original point about bandwagoners etc. what your saying is that the bandwagoners are essentially worth more in that year cos they will pay more. over the course of the past 14 years, ive kept my membership up. Yet someone who joined on last year for the first time on a top tier...
i think there is more to it. like hating the model of port adelaide that was given to us, like hating the stadium, like hating the image our players were portraying...or the style. it was all ugly and wasnt like port adelaide at all. i dont blame a lot of people for turning away. But its all...
whats wrong with bangwagoners. its impossible to maintain peoples interest always, so its good that we can get at least sometimes. its not as if the faithful didnt have their chance to get reserved seating before these randoms came on board.
kids dont buy their own memberships. if kids are getting memebrshis, its generally being bought by parents. a crows supporter parent isnt going to buy a kid a power membership
Ha, when I asked the question I thought of that, but wasn't sure if it was him. Living here in hk, and qld before that I hit to the point where I only watch port games. So I don't get too familiar with opposition players. I'd be terrible at dream team stuff cos my team woukd be all port players...
I reckon the players will be clear to play round 1. I just can't see so many players being suspended like this. Not when it wasn't even their fault. Especially to a big vic club.
How can it be pointless. As it says in the article, it looks like the traditional pa from behind, and the new on the front. I love it. I never buy guernseys, but I'm buying this one for sure.
Love for it to be permanent
