    Review Round 14 vs Port Adelaide @ Metricon Stadium (19.06.21 - 1:45pm)

Or swap for the Southport Sharks VFL team - far more local Gold Coast players to follow and they are VFL league leaders .

Suns in the Media - Part I

So them not supporting/sponsoring the Suns is not a problem to you ? Won't help getting bums on seats at Metricom any time soon....

Suns in the Media - Part I

Southport has been a co- partner with the Suns from the outset. Pretty distressing if this local AFL club icon is looking at withdrawing it's financial support of the Suns. Maybe the Sharks need the $1 mill for themselves ? Maybe it's the cost of staying in the NEAFL - or the cost of starting...

    Cricket at Metricon stadium

Will be attending the two BBL Heat games scheduled for Metricon. Enjoyed the New Year game last year, but won't be wasting money on a BBL fixture not involving a Queensland team. Hopefully a future Gold Coast team is a possibility...

List Mgmt. 2019 Draft/Trade/FA Thread - Final Wrap

History has a habit of repeating itself... Suns (read AFL) are world leaders in repeating themselves. Wasn't last years AFL assistance package supposed to change things ? And all the packages prior to that ? Why should the latest package work ? Suns continue to underdevelop players for the...

Maybe Suns can afford the "price" of a 1 year deal ?? Make an example - let him perform for Suns for a free agency deal (hopefully from West Coast);)

List Mgmt. All Trades and Draft Part 2- Draft edition

Gold Coast are committed too using picks 1 & 2 in this draft on Rowell and Anderson. If Martin nominates for the draft he may get thru to pick 9 (Carltons first pick). But a lot of others have picks before (Sydney,Adelaide , Melbourne etc ). In a PSD situation Suns will take him first pick...

List Mgmt. All Trades and Draft Part 2- Draft edition

During his 18's year Venables was exclusively a forward (when he wasn't injured). Showed no tank to be considered a mid whatsoever. Since then his form has stayed true - injury , lack of performance , injury - no endurance. IMO never likely to be a midfielder and on evidence a bust selection..

Not likely - signed an extension during the year and his entire family has moved to the Gold Coast. He might be a flanker that sticks...but is a flanker..

Opinion Should we merge with the Southport Sharks?

You'd only be merging for their money - which they already seem to be providing via the current GC SUNS Patron Partnership. Southport would also be lost to the NEAFL - making it an even weaker comp....

Review Round 16 - vs Richmond.

Just arrived home from the ground...to read this BS. Yes Brad had a bad day. But get your facts right. He tagged Dusty for the entirety of the 1st quarter. They ended it with 2 (yes - Two disposals each). ( So - Dusty contributed nothing to that 9 goal first quarter ). At start of the second...

Review Round 16 - vs Richmond.

Seems like someone made prior assumptions about team selection - maybe without consultation ? Feel for Cory who would have rightfully taken the interview as being confirmation of his likely selection . Just hope the coaches explained clearly the reasons for his omission. Think he'll be back in...

Review Round 15 - Gold Coast @ Sydney

Respect your view Scotty - but I see it a little differently. He was given a forward tagging role on Jake Lloyd - who averages 31 disposals per game. Think Lloyd ended with maybe half that. And six of those were kick ins. Brad did his job and kicked a goal as well. Not his fault he wasn't...

2nds 2019 Suns Reserves and NEAFL

Didn't notice his impact (11 tackles) - but have already said it was stoppage game - and he must have caused a few. His stats say he has promise and is still getting to know team mates etc.

2nds 2019 Suns Reserves and NEAFL

It's a fair call - I'm a an unashamed fan of his - he's still capable of AFL games IMO (but understand the situation given his age and timing of future success). Has clearly been the best of the players taken from other clubs at startup. His 2015 year when he stood in as Captain was...

2nds 2019 Suns Reserves and NEAFL

Thought Nicholls was good in the ruck - helped get his mids into the game. It was very much a stoppage game and Suns kicked lots of goals breaking from tight stoppages and going length of the ground. When Southport tried to do the same they were stopped by Leslie, Burgess and Graham - with...
