I think Reid will slide to us and I actually would be pretty happy with it after the trade blunder. Watched him live he seems to read the play really well and was using it well too!
After listening to Pyke it's fair to say McQualter and Clarke had a fair bit to do in getting this horrible trade for Baker across the line, talk about conflict of interest!
Also sounds like we are into Dev Rob and potentially trading back in to get a pick in top 30 to take 3 picks inside 30 to...
This hawks pick 14 trade has taken most by surprise but I dare say there is more to this and we have probably agreed to something. I am guessing something like below is going to happen next week.
TB Trade
Eagles give: TB, F3
Hawks give: Hawks F1, Carl F1
Trade for Baker:
Eagles give: Hawks F1...
There was a mention on trade radio this morning that we may be looking to get rid of Kelly to go after Bolton. Richmond would want our pick 3 and I would be furious if the club is even considering that!

This article seems to suggest Dev and Carroll may look to return home, that makes it 4 players that we will potentially be interested in including Baker and Graham. It will be very...
It will be interesting to see if the club decide to get English (27) and Baker (27) both and if they do it absolutely makes no sense to get rid of TB, getting English and Baker would mean you are trying to make the team better in the short term and in that case you would want to hold on to your...
I agree with your Tassie comment but I dare say they will start with the locals Mckercher and Sanders to be the face of that club and both will be 22 by then starting to hit their prime.
They just have to hold on to LDU in my opinion, they cannot keep losing good players just to get in high end picks as that only delays the rebuild. If LDU goes there is every chance Tassie will come hard after Mckercher in a few seasons and that will be another talented player gone for a top 5 pick!
It's probably better for us if Sydney play hard ball and not trade Warner this year. We can pick up another gun mid plus Baker and Busslinger if they nominate us, while also addressing other list needs through the draft depending on how many picks we take.
We probably also put players like...
Looks like we are being linked to Jack Graham who is a free agent and seems to be the right age. What's everyone's thoughts on potentially getting Graham and Baker if first rounder wasn't involved and would that mean trading sheed...
Apologies everyone I was away, if I can still pick I will go Coen Livingston.
I think this guy has the potential to play multiple positions and I will back him to make it!
As per the below article Freo has agreed to a trade with GC for pick 36 or 38 for later picks. Wonder if they are trying to get ahead of us with 36 for Edwards or ZZ...
Pardon my ignorance, my understanding was even if we trade our F1 for Curtin and have another horrible year there is every chance we will apply for priority picks as we would then be bottom 4 for 3 years and get something from the AFL. Whether it is the pick after our F1 or end of first round...
End of the day if Jamara knocks back Sydney's offer they will be all in on him, yes we may have the cap space to match or beat their offer but the thing that sets them apart is they are a lot more closer to success than us. I guess we will wait and see
How do you know McDonald will be available, the amount of money Sydney are throwing at players i dare say he will be resigning with them. Unless he has privately indicated to us or Freo he intends to leave. It would be irresponsible to not look at ways to improve the list NOW with bringing in...
I hope we have already had a chat with Melbourne about 6 and 11 for F1 if Curtin slides, regardless of how good the top 3 players are next year imagine drafting Reid, Curtin, Wilson, Collard, Zakotelsky/Moir and getting a preseason in to these kids!
Twomey on the gettable just mentioned North has offered pick 2 and 2 picks in the teens (15,17 maybe) for 1 and 23 which we have knocked back.
Dees offered 6,11,F1,42 knocked back aswell.
Credit where credit's due, despite all the pressure and critism to trade pick 1 I have loved the club's stance to hold on to it. Even today declaring we will listen to offers till draft night, in other words come with something ridiculous if you want pick 1. Well done to the club!
ROB mentioned something along the lines of clubs have mentioned they will come back to us after the trade period, I am assuming that would be Melbourne and North. North will probably try and package up a couple of those picks in the teens to get into top 10 (maybe with GWS 7 for 15 and 17) and...
I think we just need to hold on to pick 1 now and draft Reid. There will be some desperate offers thrown at us right until the draft night. I rate Twomey's Intel and if that is to be believed Curtin will slide and if we get creative we walk away with Reid and Curtin. This will be a dream draft...
I would definitely be interested if 2 and 3 are offered and pick Mckercher and Durrsma. If Curtin slides it should just be 8 and Cats F1 for our F1, cats won't make the 8 next year and it will still give us a top 10 pick. Imagine walking out with Mckercher, Duursma, Curtin, Collard and ZZ.
Agreed, there is absolutely no need to split the pick I would just pick Reid and see what happens on draft night. If Curtin or Mckercher end up sliding we can always get back in with our future first. There won't be many clubs saying no to our future first considering they have all written us...

If North don't get the pick 2 compo for Mckay, i think we should definitely pick Curtin at 2 and go hard at GC's pick 4 as one of Mckercher or Duursma will be available. As good as Reid...
Thanks for that, as per Twomey Collard is ranked between 25-30 in his Phantom Draft and if that's the case then we won't have access to him unless we select him with one of our picks. I guess it's a good problem to have may force the club to take a couple late in the national draft depending on...
