Game Day PF - Sydney Swans v. Port Adelaide 20 Sept 7:40 pm @ SCG

Port have next to no method with ball movement, if we can at least even the clearances we’ll win comfortably

    Player Watch #9 Will Hayward

Enjoyed his aggression the other night along with the other forwards when things weren't going his way. Was very physical in the contest and nailed his opportunities, great game.

Autopsy Im still shaking are you? One of the great Final comebacks! 6 point winners over GWS.

How good is finals footy. That was a seriously exciting spectacle - now to go all the way!

Autopsy Im still shaking are you? One of the great Final comebacks! 6 point winners over GWS.

shoutout to Lloyd who has been an absolute whipping boy over the years. Was immense all night and owned his moment.

    Player Watch #16 Braeden Campbell

Done a fantastic job changing his role mid year and owned the game tonight. Will be the making of him.

Game Day QF1 Sydney Swans v. GWS 7 Sept 3:20 pm @ SCG

A win like that would put the confidence through the roof. Win anywhere. Any time.

Game Day QF1 Sydney Swans v. GWS 7 Sept 3:20 pm @ SCG

Incredible match. GWS played their hearts out and brilliance and hard work from the stars got us the win. Lloyd what a game.

Campbell Chad Heeney and Paps, add Lloyd too - ****ing incredible!!!!!

Game Day 2024 Non-Swans Game Day

Hawks pressure is exceptional, hard not to enjoy the way they play - double the blues score but double the tackles

Game Day 2024 Non-Swans Game Day

Goes to show it's hard for any team to maintain an A grade level all season these days, particularly with such long seasons

Game Day 2024 Non-Swans Game Day

Hawthorn are dangerous currently, playing with a lot of confidence.

Autopsy Wheels falling off? 2 point loss to the Saints

To be honest if the forwards kicked straight we probably would have won and papered over a lot of the issues that a bad loss brings into focus. Hopefully its good for us in the long run.

Autopsy Wheels falling off? 2 point loss to the Saints

We'll bounce back, some of the boys definitely look tired and not playing with the usual spring in the step so hopefully being able to rotate Mills, Parker and Adams all with hopefully full game time should help in the next month.

Autopsy Wheels falling off? 2 point loss to the Saints

Not entirely sure it was pace that got us today. St Kilda mids were just extremely hard at the ball and better at the ground ball. Rowbottom who usually excels in that area seemed quiet and Heeney was also off. The coal face was the issue so I reckon a fresh Parker might have actually helped.

Autopsy Wheels falling off? 2 point loss to the Saints

They did butcher a fair few opportunities between them so supply wasn't the biggest issue. Amartey, McDonald and McLean could all have had at least an extra goal each.

Autopsy Wheels falling off? 2 point loss to the Saints

40 tackles for the game screams physical fatigue too. Looks like the time has come where we might need to start rotating a few, cause I'm guessing we've probably played the fewest number of players in the comp for the year til this point.

Autopsy Wheels falling off? 2 point loss to the Saints

Funnily enough Carlton were about 30 up against GWS and lost too. Big swings in momentum with lots of goals one way seem to be in vogue this year

Autopsy Wheels falling off? 2 point loss to the Saints

Unless Adams was a fitness or workload issue he really should have been out there from the 1st bounce. Made a big difference in the centre clearances which we looked poor in all game up until that point. Just seemed a strange coaching call. Looking forward to Parker and Mills being available.

Game Day 2024 Round 17 St Kilda v. Sydney 7 July @ Marvel 3:20 PM

Why the hell were we slipping and sliding so much out there? lost our feet on so many occasions. Gulden and Heeney staring at each other instead of one going for the ball summed out how confused we were that final quarter.

Game Day 2024 Round 17 St Kilda v. Sydney 7 July @ Marvel 3:20 PM

If that’s a week it’s a pretty soft game these days
  21. Citrus22

Game Day 2024 Round 17 St Kilda v. Sydney 7 July @ Marvel 3:20 PM

If we can step up our centre bounce work we’ll run away with it. Big question mark as saints have been good in that aspect
  22. Citrus22

Game Day 2024 Round 17 St Kilda v. Sydney 7 July @ Marvel 3:20 PM

Campbell has been great, thought he brought the required intensity from the first bounce. Rampe been important, Papley with some important touches and Chad with a bit of class.

Game Day 2024 Round 17 St Kilda v. Sydney 7 July @ Marvel 3:20 PM

Worked into the game nicely, gradually moving to top gear late in the quarter
  24. Citrus22

Game Day 2024 Round 17 St Kilda v. Sydney 7 July @ Marvel 3:20 PM

sloppy start but I thought the saints pressure was good, our pressure bad, bit fumbly, reckon Campbell and Jordon have looked sharp. Worked into it though

Game Day 2024 Non-Swans Game Day

    Merrett is quite the player
  26. Citrus22

    Player Watch #6 Logan McDonald

He looks and sounds very relieved if you ask me. Wouldn't be surprised if he plays with a lot more freedom for the rest of the year.
  27. Citrus22

Player Watch #22 Nick Blakey: 2024 All Australian

I reckon his defensive game has been absolutely on point this year, really maturing into the craft. The fact he's such an offensive weapon too makes him such a dangerous player for the opposition.

Game Day 2024 Non-Swans Game Day

weird year, so many teams so close on the ladder and then us sticking out at the top.
  29. Citrus22

Game Day 2024 Non-Swans Game Day

What a great finish, great game out of nowhere really. North not a joke anymore with that level of pressure in the contest
  30. Citrus22

    Player Watch #8 James Rowbottom

He is the epitome of the bloods culture in the present day team. His ability to stand up in tackles and break free or dispose of the ball cleanly is starting to remind me of the best years of Josh Kennedy.
