I think if they were to change the value of picks at the top end this year it should have minimal impact on clubs that took lots of picks in. Can make further changes the year after
He's definitely leaving but in two more years with Tassie just entering would have maximum impact - though they'd get an absolute haul if he joined Tassie
I'm now OK with whatever Baker does. It will be completely stupid for WC to get him so I would find it funny. If stays, no harm, fine with that loyalty from a rookie pick and if he joins us he makes us immediately better
Tassie really should offer Reid 2m a year for 10 years. It would be worth it and I'm sure the AFL funds the cap hit in some way. Would put them on the map immediately
Yeah, agreed, if they were open to it, they wouldn't have been as strong. I've said previously I think thats the wrong move and they should be leaning into trading Bolton and keeping Baker but maybe they couldn't keep him
I think Bolton should be cheaper, he's not as good. Tigers fan will scream they'd want the world but he's only traded if Richmond are open to it so being contracted to 2028 is no different to 2025 and with less incentive to be difficult compared to Sydney. I'm pretty positive we are all in on...
I reckon with the draw Gold Coast has and the Hawks and Dogs playing well at least one of us misses the 8. I think we'll have at least one top 10 pick which makes a big difference.
Yeah Walters and Fyfe the perfect example. When guys look like they are struggling, they are only 5-10% off the level each week so when a team doesn't rock up, they suddenly look at the level again. No, sadly, its mainly the other team was just garbage and helped the guys off the pace compete a...
Things get lost in the bid for clicks pretty quickly though. It's probably closer to Bolton asking what their plans are for him given where Richmond are at and they said you're not going anywhere
I think we are on the same pages but just applying a sliding scale of "open to leaving". Doesn't sound like he demanded to leave but knowing where the club is at, asked if they were open to it, they said no, that was that. Though I do wonder who said what to McGuire and why.
Freo are all in on...
Why? Seems like he asked Freo and they said "I have no idea what he is talking about" then asked his Manager who said "we asked what Richmond wanted and they said no chance, we want you"
Doesn't seem that crazy given where you'll be at the next few years
Pretty dumb tactic if he actually wanted to get to Freo and no one asked Freo yet but wouldn't put that past the guy thay publicly said no to a club for his client in the media
I don't even know if it's Nick's fault that much. Their drafting has been abysmal through the rebuild. Hawks have been almost as poor as them with high picks but managed to get stars with latter picks (Newcombe, Day, Moore).
You can't miss as much as they have and go anywhere
