From what I'm hearing, the current administration have lead a campaign of harassment toward just about anyone and everyone! Consequently, all the people who once used to organise, fundraise, promote in the media, or generally just "do stuff" have all been forced to give it away.

Has anyone heard if there's been any progress on the draw? I had initially heard the season was starting today??

Haha - you've busted out the old Margaret Thatcher "Name them" routine! LOL Well it was 10 years ago - so there's nothing online, and I sadly haven't kept my collection of 2006 Footy Records! And it's not like any of the Bakers Juniors reached the dizzy heights of David Armitage ;) But, have...

Indeed they did. Up to about 2005/2006 they had a full set of teams from U12/13's up. I remember seeing them run around way back then. A few familiar names in the attached: http://www.foxsportspulse.com/assoc_page.cgi?c=1-3483-0-0-0&sID=56346&news_task=DETAIL&articleID=11257906 Andergrove...

You'd think Bakers long term future would be better served by nurturing their relationship with Sarina, and helping their Junior teams grow with the club to feed into the Senior ranks - rather than throw their money, time and effort into Ressies football? I seem to recall Bakers having Ressies...

Sounds like the clubs have finally realized that the "League" is actually them - good to hear! 21 rounds is like pulling teeth! In a lopsided comp where there's really only 2 decent teams in each grade, you're basically playing 3 decent games a season, and 15 dead rubbers! Even worse for the...

Tough gig trying to find a group of people (preferably unalligned with any clubs) who are happy to give up their time, who can also manage to keep everyone happy! Maybe we'd have a better chance of attracting people if clubs tried coming up with solutions, and managing the poor behavior...

Change is a difficult thing to affect, especially with the vested interests and parochialism that exists within clubs. If you were to nominate yourself as President, with your first executive order being that you'll shut the whole thing down for a year, how long do you think you'd last?

I get that "MAFL" = "AFL Mackay". My question was, if AFL Mackay (like any incorporated association) consists of an executive committee and its member clubs. If there's no committee (as you've previously noted) then there's really only clubs left to run it. So is "Talk is that Mafl do not...

If there's no chairman or committee, then who is this "MAFL" that talk is about?? Clearly not the League Exec pushing that agenda (because there is none) - so who?

    So, what's the solution?
