Additionally re Gardiner, the Lions are having a big go at Doedee which would push him further down the pecking order, although he’ll miss the majority of 2024
Two players we were said to be keen on last year were Lachie Shultz and Kyle Langford. The years both players had would’ve vastly improved our side and says to me that McKenzie and Sammy “have their eye in” with regards to who were targeting.
Obviously at this stage Cooper Stephens has a way to...
I think the starting point to a trade for Sinn would be 29+F2 for Sinn+F1 it gives Port more flexibility for this year and improves our hand next year.
I think people forget how promising CJ looked when he was up and about. He had shown rapid improvement.
Continuity will be his best friend once he’s fit again.
We’re very quick to question players futures particularly considering he’s a big kid. If he wasn’t our highest pick in years there wouldn’t be all the expectation on him.
Fantastic to see DGB start to show some form as his confidence builds.
He should get a 5 year extension purely on the fact...
I actually like Cornes and the debate he creates.
The fact that most supporter bases think they’re the ones he targets the most probably suggest he’s doing his job to perfection.
If you listen to any Richmond, Carlton or North supporter they think the same.
As for what kicked off this...
Very naive to suggest that because Sydney wants to do a deal it means that Hawthorn shouldn’t be interested. If that were the case then no deal would ever get done.
Different clubs are at different stages and have different needs.
I’m torn as to whether I’d do the deal, but slightly lean...
Apparently the Swans are very big on Humphrey.
If he’s there at our pick on draft night it could be an opportunity for a live trade…but I think we’d want more than that.
I wonder if we could trade 6 and a f2
for 14, 17 and a f1. Or something along those lines.
Mitch Wallis would be the perfect addition to Box Hill to help develop our young crop, could also be a part time addition to our coaching staff assuming that’s of interest to him.
Seems like a loyal and quality person.
I don’t think anyone should be getting their hopes up for Reid next year.
Regardless of recent list management decisions we don’t finish last. We’re a much better run organisation than a few other clubs.
They’ve also paid next to nothing for all of them and barring Tomlinson doing his acl 2 of the 4 would’ve been premiership players.
I don’t think recruiting specific depth players is a bad idea at all….particularly when challenging
I could really get around the prospect of Amon on one wing and Whitfield on the other. If a highly favourable deal came from GWS to clear his contract I’d be all for it…IF Whitfield’s body is sound.
Kieran Strachan is an interesting name, Al though I’m sure we would’ve heard his name raised if he was likely to move. I’ve seen a heap of Crows supporters that rate him higher than ROB and think he should be their no.1 ruck. They were adamant he’d be poached through the off season.
The annoying thing is, I think the Cats could land all of their targets if Bowes selects them.
Even if it cost their future first I think they’d be able to split pick 7 and from there be able to appease GWS for Bruhn and Collingwood for Henry
A Geelong bloke actually posted this exact scenario on Sep 13. He mentioned all the details in Twomeys article except Bowes name.
Let’s not forget Geelong only had to give up a F2 to get pick 11 of them a couple of years back.
