Admittedly I haven't seen much of Saad play, but the supporter expectation on him are quite big...What type of player is he? I have seen he is a HB, wing, HF...Kako and El Hawli better deliver from round 1 given the expectations from supporters.
I have seen a few posts on Twitter that the Crows are going hard at Sam Draper...Is there a way we can get pick 4 somehow with some picks going back to Adelaide as well?
Gotta feel for Kaine, has all the attributes to be a very good defender and has all the skills we lack in the back 6.
I understand the decision in that we can't keep him on the list when he is constantly injured, but he is the type that another club will take a risk on and get the rewards...
Definition of a lemon trade on both sides...I really wanted him to work out for us and was close to Brownlow favourite until he was suspended in 2020 and then injuries ruined his time at the club and was plying that mid/forward role really well until injury last year.
Whatever we get for him...
Why did Dodo select a player with quite a few weaknesses with pick 5? I wanted Phillipou so bad...I have faith Tsatas can be a good player for us, but his weaknesses are a worry.
Hasn't played much over the past 2-3 years
Kicking
Ability to attack the contest/scared of contact
I don't buy into that - For me year 1 was 2023 because the off field was blown up and I am not passing on past failures to Scott.
Scott absolutely gets to assess the list, particularly if he wants to implement a game plan and we don't have the cattle for it. I have always firmly believed you...
Absolutely, that would be the dream.
I think progress has been made this year, but I think there still needs to be significant turnover of the list. Brad inherited the list and he and Rosa need time to turn it over.
Did the club not make significant changes off field? Did the club go out and search for an experienced coach?
I can't see Barham/Vozzo making the call to move Scott on when everyone is preaching stability. If they move on Brad Scott next year, the club will prove even more how incompetent they...
So who is the right man for the job?
Hird/Thompson failed
Worsfold failed
Rutten failed
Yze would have crashed and burned.
If we sack Scott, we will become a poison chalice. I think we have yo be patient (hate saying that when it comes to Essendon), but the money spent on development will...
President, coach, CEO, restructure, new staff, list manager...They blew everything up off field.
Is that not blowing it up?
Brad Scott won't be fired next year if we miss finals.
I don't think people realise how bad things were off field and Scott probably didn't even realise. I am okay with...
I really hope we don't go down the Petracca path, I'd much rather the club aims to drag Harley Reid out of Perth. What he is doing at 19 in the midfield is remarkable. He is definitely a generational player and he would do more for Essendon than Petracca would imo.
I don't believe that Barham and the current board would make a move on Brad Scott in year 3 when they blew everything up to get him. It also depends on the internal conversations around where they think they're actually at.
If we miss finals, I am certain Scott won't be sacked.
We need a couple of elite kicks back there - I can't keep watching McGrath turn it over by foot.
Baldwin in for Laverde and that is an upgrade in all areas, ability to intercept mark, decision making and kicking.
Reid needs a run at it, but we can't depend on that at this point.
El Hawli...
Club was damned if you do, damned if you don't. If Heppell played and we lost by 39 points, the media and fans would've said "this club isn't serious, finals on the line and the club gifted a farewell game".
Heppell's refusal to play VFL is disappointing and might have worked against him. Did...
