Look if you read my other posts here, you'll see I'm not sold on the idea that changing the date will solve much. AP is typical of your hysterical SJWs - heart in the right place, brain disconnected, full of mindless slogans that would do little to improve things.
But jumping to the other...
If you think the trouble stopped just after the first fleet, you're completely ignorant of our history. Suggest you first have a conversation with chatgpt to see how recently Aboriginal folk were being killed in frontier wars, herded into missions, treated like slaves (paid in only rations)...
Jacinta just tells white people what they want to hear. I'm not on board with all the hysterics, but Jacinta is about the last person who should be advising on race relations - on par with Lidia Thorpe.
That's my point - 26th is First Fleet day. Cook had nothing to do with it.
I'm not against the argument for changing the date, but the SJW campaign against Cook is the height of woke groupthink, and no fabricated story about him shooting at natives will give it credibility.
Captain Cook had nothing to do with the 26th January landing, floggo. He arrived 29 April 1770. He did his best to keep interactions with the natives peaceful. Unlike you, he wasn't a campaigner.
While I don't disagree with the cut and thrust there, you've also got to acknowledge the woke mob hasn't helped the situation at all...you end up with one group furiously agreeing, one group furiously disagreeing, and everyone else (the majority) treading on eggshells because disagreeing with...
The funny thing is they love calling everyone else 'NPC', when they all do and say the same shit, as dictated by Andrew Tate: all their pics in the gym, keep referring to themselves as either alpha or sigma, only entertainment they're interested in is UFC and Joe Rogan, respond to any criticism...
Agree with all that. And I enjoy seeing him (finally) lose. Especially the annoying Serbs...not a nice thing to have groups of pro-genocide types putting their nationalism on full display every year. And you just know they'll disappear along with Novak, as they've never really been about the tennis.
Balta seriously nearly killed Will Day, he shoved Nuke into him as hard as he could. It should be a tribunal matter tbh. So no surprises that he's a shit bloke off the field, too.
