Injury 2018 Blue Healers Medical Room - HBF - fainthearted 1-2 weeks

Is anyone able to shed some light on what this means for Fish in respect to being ready to go for pre season and/or any lasting impacts. Google search tells me it's the same injury as Cripps around this time last year, so hopefully not too significant - it seems a fractured tibia is the one you...

Autopsy Rd 18 v Hawks - There is nothing to say

I'm sure it's been said, but loved that Murph went straight in to stick up for Cripps.

Coaching Staff Brendon Bolton - Senior Coach - Locked in until end of 2020 (23/5/18)

His presser today was a shocker - looked very rattled, and some of his responses lacked coherence in respect to the questions asked. The rhetoric has completely changed from 'we're not going to make excuses' to spending half every presser rattling them out. The club locked itself into backing...

    Bluemour Discussion Thread IX

Turn pick #1 into pick #9, pick #14 (Crows) Trade 2 X 2nd rounders for Kennedy types Draft: RCD, Rozee, McHenry, Collins Trade: Lloyd, Brodie FA: Wallis, LeCras Names obviously interchangeable but that would be a fairly big off-season and vastly address our midfield stocks.

I'm not suggesting there is merit to it, but it's no less relevant discussion than most on here.

    Bluemour Discussion Thread IX

In respect to guessing what a player may be thinking or planning, there is no difference. I couldn't imagine the club wanting to trade Weitering, but Boyd and Schache have shown kids aren't unsusceptible to seeking a trade if they're not settled.

Analysis 2018 List Management discussion Pt 2

Out of interest, I have looked at Melbourne's best 25 this year and listed below how long they have been on their list. Interestingly, 19 of the 25 have been on their list 5 years or less. Comparatively, this will be season 2020 for us. Melbourne's best 25 by years on list: FB...

Carlton in the Media (articles, podcasts etc) - Part 2 (cont. in Part 3)

Personally, as a supporter, I needed to hear that interview. I no longer have unwavering faith in the club, and it is naive to not believe this year has raised legitimate concerns. Bolts' pressers have by in large been disappointing this year, giving supporters cliches instead of honesty...

Hot Topic The Pres, CEO & the Board

Sharing his personal approach and insights is hardly a private lesson, I'm sure many of our players would have mentors independent of our football club. Judd has already imparted all his knowledge on our club, it's up to the likes of Murph and Cripps to continue that teaching, not Judd. I'm...

Coaching Staff Brendon Bolton - Senior Coach - Locked in until end of 2020 (23/5/18)

I still look at Mitchell following Simpson, Hodge following Fagan and question why no Hawks player have followed Bolton, given his strength is meant to be in development and building relationships. I know some think this irrelevant but there's been a clear improvement in the Eagles midfield...

Autopsy 2018 Rd 17 Kreuzer out early, another terrible loss

Bolts says there is a strong comradery among the players, yet one play that stood out was Dow making a desperate smother on the wing; despite several players being close enough to acknowledge the effort, only Murph did. Soon after Dow could have made another desperate effort but instead chose...

Autopsy 2018 Rd 17 Kreuzer out early, another terrible loss

Need some honesty here from Bolts. If he says 'Blues fans understand where we're at' again I'm seriously done with him.

Coaching Staff Brendon Bolton - Senior Coach - Locked in until end of 2020 (23/5/18)

Yesterday's presser was a concern and a real sign of the pressure building. Refuting the Lions as a bottom four team because 'they've had a lot of close losses' takes me back to Malthouse's 'they're a very good football team'. All year he's pushed the rhetoric 'we won't use injuries as an...

    Preview Rnd 16 - Carlton v Brisbane Sat 7 July 1.45PM @ The Gabba - Team post #406

Weitering has gone past 50 games, and is playing worse. Is this a concern? No because ultimately he's still young and inexperienced. When would it start to be a concern, maybe around the 80 game mark?

    Preview Rnd 16 - Carlton v Brisbane Sat 7 July 1.45PM @ The Gabba - Team post #406

Issue with this is it implies Lewis brings more leadership and experience to the table than Rowe and Cripps, he doesn't. These two for us most definitely belong in the 'experienced' category, making it equal. If you extend it to '80 games and under', which is really no less relevant than 50...

Autopsy Blues down by 57 points after woeful first half

That second half didn't suit the media's agenda. Poor first half obviously, fought the game out. Great to see some show of support from those fans.

If there's one former player I'd be happy to see have premiership success, it's Josh Kennedy. Enjoy watching him play.

Game Day Around the Grounds - Rounds 6 - 10

If there is an exodus of sorts next year, they will struggle to get value as we saw with Lions in 2013. It'd be prudent to ask some questions this year.

Autopsy Rd 10 Blues lose by 28 - Couldn't capitalise on opportunities

Why do they need to be ranked. He's been unfortunate to hold the mantle during a poor period for the club, yet has been the preference during two separate regimes and several very different playing groups. While many have jumped shipped, he has stayed. Nothing in that suggests a poor leader.
