Agree. If Edwards makes big strides, if SDK comes on as a ruckman, if Joe Pike shows rapid improvement, and/or if Conway can't get on the park then the club will much less likely to persist with him.

This will be Toby's fourth season, he's out of contract end of this year. If he can't get on the park this year do we make the harsh decision to cut him? Has the club learnt their lesson from Cowan, Menzel, et al?

That's an unfair statement. The club has had plenty of cracks at ruckman in the trade period, it just hasn't come off. We know about Goldstein, Sean Darcy and a few others, there's probably a lot more we never heard about.

At draft time he said his main strength is his competitiveness. You can see that in the match sim.

That also relies on the assumption Edwards can stay fit.

Which is not a given considering Edwards has only played 3 VFL games.

On this, I'm tipping Edwards to coast past Conway in the next 1-3 years.
