I think it's a cycle. Hawks were sensational for years. As other have pointed out- the writing was on the wall in that final against the Doggies. Recruiting the likes of Vickery though was just madness. Would like to know how Hawks fans rate Frawley?

I think if they were helped along with a local academy (similar to the Sydney set-up) it could go really well. The thing about Darwin / the NT is they love their sport. There is a real AFL following there unlike on the Gold Coast. I'd much rather see the NT or Tas get a team than the Gold Coast.

Spot on- alot of the ex-AFL players that put the boot into umpires are just looking for a headline to further their 'media' careers. They don't have the balls to criticise one of their own (a fellow former player) so they tee off at the umps. Poor form.

Yes it would be a failure. As many have mentioned last year they showed plenty of great signs- but then undid all that good work losing to rubbish teams- ie Essendon and Carlton. Anything less than a finals appearance would be very disappointing.
