Struggling between 2 options:
1. Cincotta & Hunt to Humphrey & Hobbs. Feels sideways but provides cash gen and allows me to replace Pedlar on field with Humphrey.
2. Cincotta & Hunt to Mullin & Baz. Classic 1 up 1 down to bring in a premo, but Mullin may be a 1 weeker and this means I have to...
Sitting around 3k. Ended up holding both Green and Day which I don’t think was smart in hindsight as gave up too many points with the rooks I needed to field as a result / losing rookie roulette. Hopefully make up some points now but I think the big jumps were there to be made over the past 2 weeks.
What do we think?
1. Chandler & Cowan to Butters & Roberts / Mitchell (traditional 1 down 1 up).
2. Hunt & Green to Butters & Anderson / Laird
#2 obviously the better points for this week but would give me an absolute maximum of 748k for upgrades next week if I go Anderson and a basement rook...
Thoughts on the following options?
1. Macrae & Sheed to Setters & Ziebel + 250k
2. Macrae & Mackenzie to Setters & Ziebel
3. Sheed & Mackenzie to Setters & Bytel (if named)
I'm leaning #2 at the moment as it gets a rookie in Mackenzie off the field. Obviously not ideal going early on trading...
Does anyone see any upside with Dawson? Or is it a case of you get what you pay for?
Seems to have a good floor and I just wonder if he could push the 105 mark in his 2nd season with Adelaide.
Not confident in his scoring but the backline isn’t blessed with options.
For me it’s him v an extra rook in the backline. I just feel with the number of defender rooks it’s not as risky to hope that one of them score close enough to him.
This is what I'm struggling with. Are you better off playing rookie roulette with D6 (between say Chesser, Wilmot, Cincotta) for 200k rather than paying an extra 200k+ to get a mid-pricer that you aren't sold on (Hunter Clark is the only one i'm interested in but it still requires generating...
How comfortable is everyone with having a 2nd rook at D6 (e.g. Cincotta / Wilmot)?
Struggling to find a structure that I like without having 2 rooks in the backline as there is such a jump from the 200k rook to the next price point that I am comfortable with (Young / Daicos or maybe Ridley for...
It’s a no brainer. He’s shown the underlying stats (marks + tackles combo) to be a premo previously and has had high scores. You’d rather be on that trying to get on imo.
Do we feel like he is sitting on the fence in a lot of these comments? Really doesn’t seem decisive except in the most obvious of cases (eg rozee).
If anything, just reaffirms that luck is a big component + being flexible to be able to bring in whoever pops in round 1.
English, Preuss, Butters, De Goey, and Zorko all out this week.
Current thinking is to trade Butters and De Goey as they are potentially out the longest / least likely to post decent scores on their return. Will then be hoping that English is only out 1 week (I feel that it will be 2).
Sean...
Have Zorko, English, Preuss, and Butters out this week. Preuss and English are my current R1 & 2 so need to bring in 2 rucks.
Who are the priority trade outs from the above?
Deciding between:
1) Butters and Zorko to Luke Jackson and Sean Darcy or Darcy Cameron
2) Butters and English to Sean...
Crouch -> Touk
Hewett -> Parker
May pay for this next week if Hewett is back and firing but Parker seems like a good get if I am trading.
Alternative is Hayes to Coleman but I’m just not sold on him yet.
Rank these options:
1. Cripps / Crouch to Steele / Short
2. Cripps / Crouch to Macrae / Walsh (or Mills)
3. Cripps / Rowell to Short / JDG
4. Cripps / Rowell to Mills / English
Currently leaning 1
300k in the bank so going to spen up this week:
Cripps / Crouch --> Steele / Short
Means holding Rowell over Crouch but can't get to anyone I'm overly happy with in the 2nd move if I trade Rowell instead. Hopefully upgrade him next week.
Who is more important to get this week out of Cripps and Short?
Cripps:
still value
higher ceiling
very highly owned so will really hurt if he continues to go big
will go up more this week v short
better players in mid (JHF would remain on field if I avoid Cripps)
Short:
worse replacement...
Currently rolling with Rioli and NOD at D5/6. Also have the JDG suspension to deal with and looking to bring in Preuss for Marshall. I also don’t have cripps.
Do I take the following approach:
If nod is named, trade JDG to Cripps (NOD remains at D6, have cash itb to get short next week)
If...
Have to get Preuss in for Marshall this week and also frustratingly have copped the JDG suspension.
Is it better to do:
1. Rachele to Dawson. Takes NOD off field and leaves Rioli as my D6.
Or
2. JDG to Cripps. NOD stays at D6, Cripps comes on field for JHF.
Martin either covers JDG for a...
First Trade is Marshall to Preuss.
Which is best for the 2nd:
1. Rachele to Dawson (gets NOD off field to fix D6)
2. JDG to Cripps (means NOD on field at D6, shift JHF to mid bench)
Thinking 1 as it is probably wise to hold JDG. Especially as Martin is available to cover (Xerri is F6)
Not ideal but I need to fix up my defence (don't trust any midpricers so going up to short/sinclair) and then unsure whether to take a risk on a Gresham / Caldwell type on the other end or bring in Heeney who is still under price.
Rachele on my bench atm so feel consolidating him to a Heeney...
Thoughts on:
1. Thomas & Rachele to Heeney & Sinclair
2. Thomas & Rachele to Short & Lipinski (Martin F6, JHF to bench)
3. Thomas & MacDonald to Caldwell & Short (Rachele F6, JHF to bench)
4. Thomas & MacDonald to Gresham & Short
Currently leaning towards 1
Which is better:
1. Mead to Bowey - puts Bowey at D6, McCartin on the bench, and Martin / Rachele at F6
2.MacDonald to Gresham - leaves McCartin at D6 (Martin and Rachele on the bench)
Have more confidence in Gresham but trading MacDonald early isn’t ideal and my forward rooks are better than...
MacDonald to Short or Mead to Maynard?
Basically get rid of a rook with cash still to make for a premo def or go the riskier option but get rid of a red dot
