Just saw he's only listed at 183cm - he seems to play (and move) much taller. I'm sure someone can correct me but I thought he was a forward as a kid?
Also seems like he's got pace...didn't look that way on TV but I stand corrected.
He looked incredible at times - good size, good hands and good kick but as you said he got found out a few too many times - whether because of his positioning of lack of pace. I hope he can find a way in to the team.
I don't think he's a small - more an undersized 3rd tall. He could be Froggys...
Just go GA and find a seat. Wherever you fancy on the top or bottom level. MCG holds 100k and there will be 50k there so near enough to 50k seats to choose from (ignoring AFL and mcc members)
Rucks are hard this year ey? Last year Gawn/Grundy seemed very obvious with Xerri as a great less common option.
Any love for Briggs at $520k or so? Solo ruck, still a young man. I don't love the idea of paying up for Gawn/Xerri.
There won't be another one anytime soon, nor does there have to be. Pretty unique set of circumstances he found himself in.
If you're talking heart and soul player who hangs around the list way longer than we'd expect and then comes good late career - maybe Bruce?
Answerth has a bit of...
Pretty sure Whiting or maybe Dany Daly said all of the following are out to round 3 or 4 - Oscar, Henry Smith, Linc and Doedee. Levi won't play in preseason but aiming for Opening round (shoulder).
I'm not too stressed - from our Grand final team it should only be out Joe + 1, in Day + Kiddy...
Intra clubs should be amazing this year.
22 premiership players
4 best 22 ACL returning
3 fun draftees
+ Oscar + Day
And guys like Reville, Brain, Machlaghlin, Smith, Tunstill, Dev hopefully hungry for a game.
I'd hazard a guess that our list 23-35 is the best in the comp by some way.
Sooo funny how times have changed. Not long ago we'd get daily updates of "Tom Bell running well" or "Paparone has put on some size".
Seriously though - does anyone go watch training? Or is Springfield too far? Or it the late start? Or does it just not matter because we won 🏆 😍
Ended up with 3 tickets (thanks to a Dog's mate membership). 80% chance of going otherwise will be offloading them for free to someone on here.
Ticketek sucked.
Anyone have a gather round barcode by any chance? Me and my wife are members but want to take my Adelaide based mum 🙏. Thank you!!!
I get 5 free tickets to the Gabba every year that I don't use so more than happy to trade for one of them...!
Also agree Voss, Neale, Black, Akker, Brown in that order.
6-15 is more fun.
They spoke on the Roar deal about Mcclugage, Rayner, Berry and Andrews all likely becoming 300 gamers for the club so they'll be in the mix one day😍😍
If I were to give it a go...
6. Zorko
7. Lappin
8. Power
9...
Some interesting reading on Jamarra on the Dogs board - seems the fans think he's not working as hard as he could be.
It'd be incredible but can't see how we could trade for him and get enough points for Annabel (but never doubt Dom....)
I actually thought the same at half time of last year's granny when north were on top. I think our team is predominantly excellent athletes with average skills (minus a few) whilst North is a team of footballers.
I don't want to name names but the lack of skill by hand around the contest, and...
Just got home from the game. I don't think there was an issue with effort - we tried hard all night. Pressure was top notch from both sides.
The fumbles and dropped marks killed us.
Norths defense smashed our forwards, and their forwards took their chances well.
I just realised something.... Marshall didn't test at the combine, but won our 2km time trial. Coincidence or we hid him?
Mightve gone a bit higher if he won the 2km at the combine.
Interesting analysis - I hadn't thought of it like this.
I was kind of led to believe that Hawthorn was becoming the new 'meta strategy'. An army of small and tall running players, dominating ground balls and running the field. Sort of an evolution of the Orange Tsunami? It'll be interesting...
Thursday night 3
Friday night 2
Saturday early 3
Saturday twilight 4
Saturday night 0 👀 👀 👀
Sunday day 1
Sunday twilight/night 2
Why no Saturday nights? Club request?
Our Friday nights are a bit meh too.
I quite like the Saturday twilight slot so don't mind 4 there.
I'm actually stoked with the fixture when usually I love complaining.
So bizarre having a "soft start" I usually feel pretty stitched up.
Geelong and Sydney both off equally short preseasons - in to eagles, bye, Richmond. Dogs tough then Pies, Saints, Suns, North, Dees - it's ridiculously...
It was a tactic specifically for the grand final if Zork was tagged so we lost drive from the back half. Lachie spoke about it somewhere. Very clever. Doubt we use it much next year.
Remember in previous years the predominant discussion was who are our double ups? Seems we don't care anymore given weve had it as hard as anyone recently.
Fwiw - worst case scenario imo:
Top 6 - Sydney, Geelong, GWS
Middle 6 - dogs, blues
Bottom 6 - suns
I'm expecting this sort of fixture -...
