    Career Best Games

I'll add those other ones. Best game I can remember for McCluggage is preseason 2023 vs Sydney - reckon he had 36 touches and dominated. I'm sure he's done that in the real season - he's had 6 x 3 brownlow vote games including: 2024 vs Sydney (26 touches & 3 goals) 2023 vs Adelaide (28 & 2)...

I don't know when it changed but we're such an even team now. Used to be no Neale, no Cameron, no win. Now it's no problem - it's Willmott, Dunkley, Kai, Bailey, Rayners, lesters team even if you tag our best players.

The kids are carrying this. Amazing. Ashcroft, Wilmott, kai, Morris.

Is this the day he played midfield? I remember that!

    Career Best Games

Hi All - not sure if there's an existing thread for this but thought a good offseason topic (or what's left of it) is career best games for those on our list. Career best Game 1 Lohmann, Kai 2024 GF - was also massive in the prelim, and kicked 5 vs Richmond but we'll never forget the...

I don't recall any bagging but I reckon he was the one left out of a few best 22s

Not sure if this is a gag - but yeah, he was out there. Only noticable disposal was a beautiful turnover that led to a goal for us.

Pretty happy with that hitout - think we got everything we needed. I was worried we'd be a bit sluggish given all the rehab but Collingwood were worse. It seemed, the team we started with vs Collingwood is probably our current best 22 - didn't count the number of players but must've been...

A lot going on here! Any observers have anything to add on Bruce, McKenna, Gallop, Day or McLachlan?

Thanks for going and thanks for the write-up. Lots appreciated it!

Awesome write up! I thought McKenna looked sharp when I saw him too - seems he doesn't want to drop out of the side either. Any thoughts or observations on any of Bruce, McLachan, Fletcher, Marshall, Gallop or Bailey?

    Fixture 2025 Fixture Discussion

Looking like we're having a bit of luck with the fixture - playing West Coast without Yeo, Richmond without Balta, and dogs without Treloar, JJ, JUH and Jones. Let's win one of the first 2 then go 4-1.

McLachlan has put on a lot of size - he wasn't really noticeable in the drills when I watched - but I expect him to get a shot in the first ~28 or so for match sim and if he does enough the spot is there - but tough to break in.

We must be the last club to start intra clubs - I think I've seen something from everyone else (except GC).

Where'd you get out bidding from? There's 0 chance Lions have more cap space than WC - West Coast are able to offer more if the want to...

List Mgmt. 2025 List Management Discussion

Kane has really triggered me on this post. He's the SAME GUY that'd say (if we lost the grand final) "is Mcclugage really an 800k player? Should they have signed berry for 500k for 5 years?". Hipwood certainly took less money for more years - he isn't on heaps. Harris has taken less for team...

There's a chance we see more of Gallop than we expect - he's a big boy. Lloyd has a back injury and isn't training - not expecting to see much of him early this year .

Not that my opinion means any more than anyone else but after seeing training this is how I think we'll line up for r0: Andrews, Payne, Lester Zorko, Willmott, Starc Bailey, Neale, Berry Fort, Dunkley, W.Ash Rayner, Kai, Charlie Day, Hipwood, Morris Mccluggage, Fletcher, Ah Chee, Answerth...

    Training 2025 Pre-Season Thread

Went down to training again this morning - a bit of a different session with a heavy focus on taking corridor kicks and inside 50s. A lot of the guys in rehab last week trained almost fully today. No training - Doedee, kiddy, smith Laps/skills - Mcclugage, Rayner, Starc, Gardiner, hipwood -...

If I had to pick one for r0 I'm picking AA premiership player, rather than the guy off an ACL. I do agree that both may not work together but that's for Fages to work out. We did play Rich/Birchall together and Rich/Coleman.

We aren't succession planning from r1. We're putting our best team out to win another. There are 6 months to adjust if it doesn't work out.

Came 2nd in our b&f and gives us so much drive. Not sure why we're relegating him to sub now. No issue with subbing him off or resting him as the season goes on but he 100% starts in the team until he shows he isn't up to it or gets injured.

A couple of things I missed - of the guys outside the 22 at the end of the year Id think Tunstill and Bruce are next in line. McKenna looked good, as did Answerth. Bailey also looked sharp.
