I haven't really commented on this forum in months, since the draft stuff.
honestly this incident is very disappointing, when he was given a 7-year deal, I'm not going to lie, I didn't think he deserved it at all. not saying he isn't a good player or not one of our most important players now but...
yeah but it's not saying much given how badly we played & how much injuries eve have no doubt he improved from the year before, but imo he is not an absolute walk-up starter, he plays a similar role to Mansell & imo he is not as good.
Dylan Alexander doesn't even have Miller & MRJ in our best team and they are wearing 12 & 17...
It shows you how much ppl rate Maurice no offense to him, he does some good things no doubt but isn't enough of a threat most of the time.
Jagga Smith from Carlton got number 7 other clubs are giving there top draft kid a good number, & I have no issue with our new recruits earning a good number, but when you see Ben Miller getting 12, you have to say this whole earn your jumper stuff is BS...
The problem is there isn't much to choose from, Vlastuin & Broad are just as old as Nank.
Vlastuin has seemingly never wanted to be captain.
To me Taranto does not seem like much of a captain but that's just me.
I think Nankervis is going to stay captain until someone like Lalor or Smillie take...
An AFL environment is exactly what Sam Lalor needs, the amount of improvement in fitness that they will be able to put into him will be massive. perfect player to plot in the forward line while he builds an endurance base.
I see him playing Round 1 if he is fit & has no setbacks, same with...
The fact he wants number 4 shows you he is ready to deal with any pressure.
This kid is a natural leader everyone says it, like his coaches at junior level.
I would not say no to him if I'm the club there is no reason to let number 4 collect dust when we have got our man.
