They also did a documentary called 'A Texan Odyssey' about playing at the SXSW festival in Austin. You can find it in the usual places and its worth a look too.
Their BBC2 radio series is out on CD as well - a lot of the HBO series was based on this.
Grab every episode you can, its worth the effort. A lot of fun, it has its own groove but if you like them you'll like dig every episode.
HBO have agreed to a second season, so it'll be back in 12 months or so.
In the meantime Curb Your Enthusiasm has replaced it in the schedule so its...
It doesn't allow for much movement on the table - apart from CCM - buts there's a long way to go.
And when draws can still be entertaining, like the final 10 minutes of frenetic action between United and Melbourne the other night, I don't think its too big a worry for the league. They...
No idea, but in the age of the interweb they still seem to be extremely hard to track down. 'Pickled Eggs and Sherbert' is their first album - possibly their only - and an enjoyable listen. Walk Like a Panther and 1st Man in Space are both awesome minimal pop songs.
As for finding it...
Here's to the boys doing the job, but its disappointing to see the games moved from Hindmarsh to NSW. You'd think FFA give them enough representative football as it is.
I've gone with Star Sports as its apparently in English but its having trouble even gettin going. CCTV 5 is usually pretty reliable with Chinese commentary and all...they'll sometimes actually laugh at players doing dumb things which is entertaining.
Yep, posted about this in the other HBO thread as i'd rather watch comedy than drama.
Ep 3 is the pick of the bunch so far, if only for 'He maybe did'. That was far funnier than it really should have been.
Very dry and enjoyable, good to see it given a run over there. If you know where...

for some reason it won't open in my sopcast. found it on Bahrain sports on tv ants but its in Arabic and a very choppy stream
Curb yes, and the others I've been too lasy to get onto as yet.
But have started downloading the new series Flight of the Conchords starring the NZ digi-folk band of the same name, with appearances by Arj Barker. Very dry, but a lot of fun. 3 eps so far, you can find them in the usual places.
Pantera at the Ent Cent here in 1994 (?) touring Far Beyond Driven was one of the great live music experiences of my life.
At Thebby in 2001 (?) they weren't as good, but still a phenomenal sight to behold. Got to meet them backstage and Dime, Vinnie and Rex were all great, easy-going guys...
May be shown on UK TV here but never on FTA. There's an Australian rip-off called Spicks and Specks, which is to Buzzcocks as the show Good News Week was to Have I Got News For You in the UK, ie not as good.
SBS has a show called Rockwiz which is probably closer in spirit to buzzcocks.
the second series of Phoenix Nights is awesome. Very Northern British, down-beat and dry but very funny. Have grabbed season one to watch but the quality ain't great and haven't had the time lately.
Not seen Peep Show but understand it's very, very good.
But neither could be as good as...
I've got 2 useless Adelaide - Melbourne return airfares now. I'll be following it up with FFA because I'm not a happy camper. Thankfully hadn't got around to accommodation yet.
(Though I'm really tempted to try to get acros for the Peeping Tom show a few weeks later now...we'll see how...
Saw it under protest on video nearly 10 years ago.
I have never, ever rewound and watched a single scene - and laughed every single time - as i did Jeff Daniels having the snowball fight with Lauren Holly.
LOL? I nearly DIED.
Des. That sort of reaction doesn't just happen. Something riled him to the extent he'd react how he did. I've never been a Headland fan but I'll believe him on this one.
Re: Asian Champions League Group E - Matchday 3: Adelaide United v Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma Match Threa
Last night's second half was breathtakingly entertaining stuff from both sides. On a balmy April night there was nowhere I'd rather have been.
As said above, defensively we have big issues...

Spaggers and Diego back, hotter conditions than they're used too, a win under our belts to kick off the post-Kosmina era...
If they're about the level Shandong were last month no reason we...
I still think Bock missing that home final against St Kilda a few years back was the difference between us and the flag.
He just gives so much muscle to our team, i love him being there.

Word is there'll be no announcements about signings today from AUFC. Not saying it won't happen, but definitely nothing being made public today despite the News Ltd stories.
