cats_09 dazbroncos this thread is completely derailed now. Can you please delete all of mine and geelong_crazy26's posts, along with any other posts concerning this non-relevant BS so we can all move on.
I see it as a 70/30 split, with 5 minutes or so every quarter used as a 'burst mid' of sorts - being his best role. He's not up to being a full time mid yet, as evidenced by his 2nd half fade outs this year. Playing him as a rotational burst clearance machine when we need it, now really utilises...
None of this shit is relevant to this thread - how many times do you have to be told this? If you don't keep bringing up the non-relevant Ablett crap, then others won't counter with crap about Hardwick.
Regardless, this whole thread has now been completely derailed by the same Richmond posters...
I think the idea this year (from what I could tell), was to draft someone like O'Sullivan who can help us out at both ends. His answer when asked about who he strives to emulate, was surprisingly Jez Cameron - which means he's a genuine swingman who has the attributes to play either end. Reminds...
Lol I'm not playing a game. I've just listed what our current list is that fits the criteria (I have to give some cut off point) - which as I said in the description, will be updated each year accordingly based on list changes.
There's already been a fair bit of discussion on the draft and...
Hey guys, started this dedicated thread for discussion regarding our future prospects moving forward (mods let me know if this is ok) :)
Here's the link for anyone interested: The next generation of talent (2023-2030 onwards)

Hey guys,
Thought while the little one was sleeping and I had some spare time, I'd start a thread based on our next wave of talent as I couldn't really see a dedicated thread that would be pertinent - and it definitely seems to be something that we're all discussing a lot more this pre-season...
Another couple released today - Ollie is looking bigger, Bowes is looking chiselled, and Tanner looking bigger too. Also a Geelong travel ad to lure back Sel :tearsofjoy:
We've posted a fair bit on Instagram and Twitter (only have instagram for my photography these days), with the same content. In the past week, we've shared the below - specifically concerning our AFL team's Pre-season content:
What was most fascinating for me, is looking back at that draft there's only one player (in the open pool), who I would've drafted before him - Zac Taylor. Was the player I wanted most in that draft, and he's had a very slow start filled with injury himself.
Makes sense why Wells went for a...
Agreed that I reckon the club sees something too. Needs a big year this year though, as he's a mid second rounder - so we definitely saw something in him at draft time in 2021.
Re: training ground, assume it'd most likely be Deakin, yeah :)
Honestly guys, this makes me feel a lot better. If it's a contact injury, then it's not a case of a 'hot spot' or structural issues with the feet/gait kinda thing. Similar to Phoenix in that regard.
If they're saying it's minor and he'll be back in Jan, almost certainly means it's a sprain and...
Nah it's already been confirmed by CHAWKTS track watcher - so it's not just an isolated report. Trust me, we believe you - hence all the despair :tearsofjoy:
Was really excited about him draft time. Obviously tempered since then, but just a reminder that this kid really does have 'something':

And I have confidence that Bruhn, O. Henry, Holmes, SDK, Dempsey, Knevitt, O'Sullivan, J. Clark, Conway, G. Stevens and Mullin, will be probably senior regulars by the time 2025 rocks around.
Just because some of them haven't got as much/any exposure yet, doesn't mean they're not a good cohort...
Can someone please explain to me when the Suns' list concessions are going to expire? Namely, the expanded access to Darwin and the extra list spots?
I thought this was only temporary, but it's been 4 years now? Genuinely curious about this.
"No one remembers the runner up."
From 2000 onwards (this is off the top of my head):
Melbourne, Collingwood, Collingwood, Port, Brisbane, West Coast, Sydney, Port, Geelong, Saints, Saints, Collingwood, Hawthorn, Fremantle, Sydney, West Coast, Sydney, Adelaide, Collingwood, GWS, Geelong...
Wow that explains a lot. Explains how Nick Daicos is listed as over 6ft at 184cm, but he's only an inch taller (at most) than his 5'10 brother at 178cm and 4 inches shorter than Pendlebury at 191cm.
League would be littered with examples of false data if this is true. Examples below:
Perhaps a thread discussing lists in 2023 is not the best place to talk about historical incidents - football or otherwise, hey?
This topic (and the Stewart and Sonsie topics) has been done to death, it doesn't need anymore oxygen - especially in a non-relevant thread.
Ablett Snr off field =...
Seems like it's all just estimates before the official stats go up - given they don't have Wiltshire's weight, and Stevens had his weight on Rookie me as 101kg yet now they have him as 90.
We'll know all the official stats when they've done the new team photos, IMO
Interesting to think that had a couple of things gone our way - JUH not being moved from our Academy area/Gulden able to be matched only after 40 in line with current NGA rules (never would happen due to Northern Academy differences) -, then we could have ended up with from the 1 year:
Jeremy...
Interesting exercise. Rance, Cotchin and Reiwoldt should all be in there for the Tigers though, IMO.
Given the sub existed during this era, thought I'd include it as well - given Bartel would probably make the team over Birchall and C. Johnson - but I needed to make sure I kept Gibson in for...
They really need to get to the bottom of these foot issues...seems too common now to just be coincidence.
Maybe there are similarities to the issues the Eagles have at Optus...maybe it's our training loads...maybe it's the drills...maybe it's the recovery program...or maybe it is just bad luck...
