Congrats on the win, thanks everyone who played and particularly who I played against, and huge thanks for putting in the hard work to make it happen Chipmunk
Excellent game going to Anti Septic which should be no surprise given our ratings difference, but really pushed me to work hard and that showed in the engine's evaluation of how well we played! Thoroughly enjoyed it 🙂
Would be nice to get a list of the round 2 games to watch, with the Ding/Nepo match over now... 🙂
Here's our start

I think the eval bar showing Nepo as an almost clear win was a bit misleading, with the engine's plan being pretty obscure for humans, even players like Nepo. But Nepo's, and Ding's, fast play there for a bit leading to those (x) moves was crazy to watch! (And made me feel better about my play 🙂 )
Just had a look to see how it finished up, not expecting it to still be going, but that's vacation time for you... Great job CursingFijian! When I just checked, he only had 4 hours of vacation time left, so all over bar the shouting now 🙂
Just had a look through the game analysis, and it was very close throughout. Particularly happy with my play given that I was at a very time-intensive work event from Thursday to Sunday last week, and played the last couple of moves with covid brain-fog.
A win for me on the second game. On time, but when there's a day per move and the opponent is close to 100 points better (before our games), I'll take it 🙂

Let's do this!
If Hans and his coach are cheating, they're doing a great job of it to not have it picked up by Ken Regan... It's such an interesting space given the moves are all there to be checked.
Thanks. I've been starting to factor positional advantage into my play more, and thought that breaking open the defences was worth the slight material loss.
