That's why I initially said it depends on the club. Kiewa are well run and ultra consistent, but with the side at their disposal the last 10 years, I reckon they should have won at least 2 or 3 more flags, hence have underachieved a bit. Of course most other clubs would kill to be in their position.

Obviously, doesn't mean finishing in 2nd or 3rd is successful though.

I thought at the time Kiewa had them covered, unfortunately we'll never know. Both clubs definitely have claims to being hard done by in that regard.

Depends on the club. I think a club like Kiewa would only count premierships as a successful year.

Underachieved though? Only 1 flag in the past 10 years, including two all-time chokes in that time. I think lockdowns cost them one, possibly two flags.
