Extremely late reply but I started last year with 13 round 0 players and despite finishing the year 700ish due to bad trades, I was top 100 or thereabouts for most the season and 13 round 0 players didn’t set me back at all.
I prioritised players with good opening fixtures and got a lot of...
agree with stevebbb
You cant start all the 200k rookies so a small forward was an easy fade. You're not holding him for 5 weeks either. Him making 150k later on the season is fairly irrelevant too, most our teams were done by his peak price.
It wasn’t just like Serong was the only one getting moved around anyway, all of them were. Young another great example of one that spent time forward, even back at times too.
Serong was the number 1 guy when they played their best footy last year. Young is their most damaging mid and if he...
Something like this is the structure I can see myself going with. Forwards pick themself although I’m not 100% sold on starting JHF as I don’t think he will ever get out of reach. Bont, Serong provide good captain options with the 3rd premo (Cripps) chopping and changing for me regularly...
I need to get used to all the new pricing. Really struggled to finish off my team. I probably went too heavy with the expensive rookies. My midfield for example
Just need to remind myself to not sideways trade next year. Don’t think any of them have worked and have cost me come finals
Whitfield -> Serong
Steele -> Ridley
Xerri -> Walsh (to get sweets 138)
Disaster
Can’t believe I lose both my cashie prelims because I tried looping Daicos with my last trade last week which locked me into Philipou who was dropped so had to trade in Owens instead
Would win both if I went Sheezel to literally any player who scores 100 😭
I’ll be doing the same thing but I’ll also have Daicos on the bench with the E, if he gets clamped by Jordon, Flanders goes to the mids and Dowling becomes Philipou
