    Training Pre Season ‘25

    Yes, he had surgery
  2. Timothy Luncheon

    Training Pre Season ‘25

The hamstring was very much unusual. Got infected multiple times I believe, atrophied etc. You don't see hamstring injuries that bad very often

    Training Pre Season ‘25

I would assume that means R3 he'll hopefully be available.

Most positive I've ever seen you

    Player Watch #16 Josh Smillie

I have no idea how players start running with Hamstring injuries. Then again I have no idea how the medical side of that all works. But as a kid in school I pulled my hammy, and it hurt just with regular movement. Not saying I agree with you, as I'd wager clubs' fitness programs are smarter than...

    Training Pre Season ‘25

Unfortunately the Hammy was one of the worst ever. Infections, muscle atrophy etc. But he's out with an ACL. Concerning it is taking so long, but hopefully it all works out. If not, it'll really suck. He looked so good in 2022

Still concerning that for whatever reason his body turned a minor hamstring into an 8 week one
  8. Timothy Luncheon

    Player Watch #16 Josh Smillie

Just very frustrating. Our first two draft picks being injured when they're one of the only reasons to watch us play

    Player Watch #31 Luke Trainor

I really hope we don't waste his talents

Anyone know of a way I can watch the game without Kayo. Was using Vipbox but that seems to have died

Any idea if the AFL one is on the website? Club website says it will be streamed on the AFL one, but I can't see anything on the AFL site that suggests that, and they don't have a stream for the Essendon v Cats match

    Training Pre Season ‘25

Just think whatever small chance we are is increased with Lalor. Really more so I just want him to play round 1 to experience it, and make the game better to watch
  13. Timothy Luncheon

    Training Pre Season ‘25

Damn that would suck. I really want Lalor to play round 1, would be a great experience on debut for him (and a small part of me thinks we could win, but really I just want to see him playing as it is one of the only things to look forward to)

You don't want the big man himself playing?

Player Watch #3: Dion Prestia Re-Signed for 2025

Dang, that sucks. Wasn't he already on modified training recently? Surprising if that was too much

Injury Nothing to see here footy gods. Move along.

Yeah it sucks. Tigers and West Coast have gone through similar things, and injury after injury gets pretty tiring. Just have to hope it doesn't keep happening

Injury Nothing to see here footy gods. Move along.

Everyone thought Rance going down was the end of Richmond’s season. You guys will be good to go without Jagga. Understandably everyone is devastated though. You don’t forget that feeling coming home from the footy and hearing about a potential ACL. It really does suck, but the season is never over

Injury Nothing to see here footy gods. Move along.

From experience unfortunately it happens and seems to be more common. Absolutely terrible and feel for Jagga, hopefully he can recover quickly (and no more long-term injuries for him, avoid the path Gibcus took) Seems like ACLs happen in the earlier part of the season. The 5 we have were all...

Player Watch #21: Noah Balta - Pleaded Guilty To Be Sentenced March 27th

You're saying the guy he hit was not involved at all? Just a bystander 10m away or something?

    Where did you hear this?
  21. Timothy Luncheon

    Player Watch #22 Sam Lalor

Does it even matter what intent or anything like that was? It’s outcome based. The action concussed and fractured the jaw of the player pushed. Unlucky maybe, but the player pushing should get suspended for it.
  22. Timothy Luncheon

    Training Pre Season ‘25

Didn’t Yze say that Smillie would be playing against Collingwood? So has he had a setback then? Not much point in watching it without Lalor or Smillie (half joking). Just how conservative with injury are we being? Hopefully it all works out, but that’s a real shame. Can’t have been a minor...
  23. Timothy Luncheon

    Player Watch #22 Sam Lalor

On the last point, it isn't changing the way the game is played. If you happen to be in that .1% where you injure the player from pushing them, then you cop the suspension. It's outcome based and it always has been. Seems fine to me

Injury Injury Report - Season 2025

Is there a reason Lynch won't be playing against Collingwood? Would've thought he'll have recovered form his concussion by then
  25. Timothy Luncheon

Injury Injury Report - Season 2025

Yeah real shame as you figure he would've started on the wing in round 1. Hopefully it doesn't hamper his year too much
  26. Timothy Luncheon

    Player Watch #22 Sam Lalor

How good was it to actually have someone in the forward line leading? Missed that last year. Hope he is ready for round 1
  27. Timothy Luncheon

    Player Watch #22 Sam Lalor

Yes because Lalor got hurt, because suspensions are handed out based on outcome. Pushing someone in the back isn't a football act, as it is a free kick. And you need to consider that a player was fast approaching the other way. So it was a dangerous non-footballing act and the player has a duty...
  28. Timothy Luncheon

    Player Watch #22 Sam Lalor

Pushing in the back is inherently dangerous, and players are suspended based on outocme. As Meteoric mentioned, there are also guidelines that state an oncoming player and contact with them as a result of the dangerous act (pushing) has to be considered
  29. Timothy Luncheon

    Training Pre Season ‘25

Watching Lalor play was going to be the most exciting thing about round 1. Would've won us the game (in my dream land anyway). Bummed about the injury, but at least it is the best result we could've hoped for. Now I just hope he doesn't get injured much throughout his career, and no more...
  30. Timothy Luncheon

    Player Watch #22 Sam Lalor

A duty of care being required for pushing someone in the back is something I thought the AFL would've introduced by now. I feel like it's pretty dangerous to shove someone like that. And as the suspensions are usually outcome based, if a player gets injured from that act, then you take...
