Even this would be a mammoth ask. Buddy, Rough and Cyril kicked 1919 goals between them despite Rough and Cyril’s careers being shortened.
300 less goals would still mean an average of 540 goals each.
If those three get anywhere close to that we are going to win a lot of flags.
Of all the spuds batting in the BBL. I feel Edward’s escapes a lot of criticism.
How he’s opening blows my mind. 38 innings averaging 14 with only a sr of 110 and a high score of 47.
And unsurprisingly he’s out.
You’d only get close to 40 off 40 of the bowling was bad and the fielding awful as well.
There’s a massive difference between a road and a day 5 turner. There’s not been that many roads this bbl. There’s been something in it for the bowlers.
They could easily have prepared a spinning wicket...
Batters are definitely getting worse at playing on moving/spinning wickets.
This wasn’t just a pitch with a bit in it though. The “bad ball” from the spinners where still pretty much unplayable and couldn’t just be put away.
We’ve seen a lot of wickets this BBL with some life in them...
Nah this pitch is awful. There’s a massive difference between pitches with a bit of life and this one.
A T20 shouldn’t be behaving like a day 5 rank turner. Especially one that was getting noticeably worse over the 40 overs of the game.
Stars were always going to struggle to win this game.
This pitch is a disgrace though. We get to finals and hope to see the best cricket of the season yet we get treated to this.
Especially on a slow pitch like this. It’s a hard pitch to time the bowl and is coming on super slow.
Trying to hit in the air means it’s incredibly likely to go straight up. If they and hit it hard along the ground, if they are a bit early on it but follow through it probably goes over the...
I think if anything Dusty was pretty consistent early career and most of his career. Which is partially why his average is so high. He started really well and didn’t take much time adapting to the league.
The biggest difference between him and other top players is how little time he spent at...
And??
I wouldn’t care if he was the highest rated or lowest rated. It’s unsurprising a score that’s effectively SuperCoach shows a player who won a ton of ball, kicked and set up goals rated highly.
It also doesn’t factor in to how well he played.
It’s not an objective ratings system. It’s a subjective rating system due to a subjective weight being added to an objective stat. Keep clinging to it though.
Things that weren’t counted in Buddy’s best finals? Buddy also wasn’t more consistent but he definitely had better singular games than...
You were going on about coaches votes. When Buddy wasn’t going to get them as they weren’t giving them out.
I’m also not saying Buddy would have won 3 Gary Ayres awards. All I’ve stated his Buddy’s best 3 finals were better than any of Martin’s.
He also played only forward against much...
Player ratings are just SuperCoach points with a different weighting system.
The guys get paid to record stats. That’s what they are good at and what the clubs pay for. Not for their weighting of stats, clubs wouldn’t care for that.
I don’t care for their stat weighting. Buddy’s best 3 games...
You are the only one who actually considers player ratings as valuable information.
Buddy’s best 3 finals are better than any final performance from Martin.
You say this yet the best 3 games finals games out of this lot are Buddy’s.
07 elimination final where he kicked 7 including the winner. 08 QF where he destroyed lake and kicked 8.
Plus 2014 pf where he had 23 disposals kicked 5 had 4 goal assists and 15 score involvements.
In 2012 also...
