Absolutely, really the pressure is on J Lo.
I have vocally been saying its "Top 8 or bust" but quietly, with our list and even our depth (injuries can't really be an excuse anymore either) I've been saying "top 4 or bust"
Rawlings is waiting in the wings.
On Darcy/Jackson, I'd actually like to work away from relying on LJ covering for Swaggy if/when he is injured and start moving more towards Reidy taking the backup role.
Nothing against Dogga's rucking capability, in a pinch if Sean goes down mid game then Luke definitely slots straight in...
Yeah I know.
I think I was more upset about the looseness of the metaphor rather than the actual grading.
I know that we still have a bit of a way to go, but then again, so do Carlton and they were graded as Wide Open.
I think a few posters above have alluded to the fact that maybe there...
Again, and I really am being pedantic now, I think we all know our flag window hasn't been "open" since 2015.
But I would argue that the window has been gradually "opening" since 2017 and if it's still "opening" it can't have much further to go, close enough as to make no difference between...
I would have thought our list alone would put us into the wide open category.
It would be hard to argue even that the list is unproven, they've shown what they are capable of. Consistency would be the only question mark.
But based on potential, surely our window is "wide open" and isn't that...
Why is our window only considered "opening"?
I may have my purple coloured glasses on, but I think it has been "opening" since 2017/2018.
I'd think our window is "wide open" or am I taking the grading system too literally?
Apart from his predictable kick outs from the square, which have become very rare since Jordy has been taking a lot of them, I'm with you.
I have a lot of love for Lukey and he remains in my B22 for the the forseeable future.
Yeah I get that mate.
But you said it yourself that Reid and/or Simpson could probably fill that role of small forward. I kind of get the feeling that's the reason they were drafted (primarily, most players in the future will be required to play multiple positions).
Plus, you never know Delean...
Feels like the next priority on the Trade/Draft front should be some sort of Aish replacement. A utility player who can cover most positions on the field for just such an occasion.
A kind of jack of all trades but master of none.
I reckon once he'd broken it the first time, we were knackered either way.
Bring back too soon and he's only half cooked, bring him back any later and we'd be missing our key defender in AA form.
Saying that, I think we might still have made finals, but losing Darce and JT in pretty quick...
Yeah I was sort of leaning toward Aish (hadn't considered Wagner) just due to him being able to play all over the field. I went with Draper in the end because I think he is better than either Aish or Wagner. But he probably wouldn't be a required player on the day.
I'll keep an eye on Wags this...
Was thinking more along the lines of some depth if Pearce or Cox or even Chappy go down mid game.
But you're right, Young could go back there in a pinch. Maybe swap Walters for Simpson. Maybe.
Don't get me wrong, I love Son Son and am not purposely trying to usher him out of the team. I just...
For out of the loop, tha't pretty damn close to THE team. Id probably just replace Sonny with Draper for some back up defensiveness.
Other than that, pretty spot on. :thumbsu:
I'm starting to think it's a testament to just how strong a post season we've had when we are melting over losing a 4th string ruckmen who may never have gotten a game.
If that's the biggest exit we've had this off season, we've done pretty good. Especially compared to the "mass exoduses" we've...
Yeah I know, don't even know why I'm bothering creeping around their board. Their on the opposite end of the ladder to us, should be much more concerned with our own race.
WCE having a good old laugh at us over this trade/draft period.
As if missing out on Berry and losing Knobel has screwed us for the next decade.
Ah good for them, whatever takes their mind off the dumpster fire.
I'm gunna hazard a guess there would have been an equal amount of melts if Knobel had stayed and Riedy had gone from #TeamLiam.
I'm neither here nor there on the loss, I liked them both. I'm putting all my eggs in the "Swaggy keeps his body intact and plays a full season so we don't need to go...
