Did you see his game? He topped the aftergame votes and completely nullified Essendon's defence. He had 25 possessions as well and has arguably one of the most decisive kicks on the competition. Fagan also prioritizes system, not talent. Witherden not being in our squad has nothing to do with...
Ironic, when they moved the grand final to the Gabba and Brisbane makes the grand final, you know Victorians will complain. However, last year's grand finalist's (Richmond) had a home grand final and no one bats an eye.
I would argue that the team we fielded against Essendon is our best team all year. Answerth and Witherden is a better duo than Rich and Lester and Ballenden and Skinner is a better duo than Smith and McStay
I've said it last year, and i'll say it again. If Adelaide don't win the Grand Final, then it's the biggest choke. They literally cannot lose it from here.
Queensland is essentially a better version of Victoria. So It comes as no surprise that our government is handling the epedemic better than the Victorian government.
AFL really needs to understand that people don't want to watch certain clubs on a friday night. Teams like Melbourne, Western Bulldogs, St Kilda, GWS, North Melbourne will literally draw low ratings.
Lol at people thinking we're following New South Wales. We only have 8 active cases, and besides 2 days ago, we haven't had a community transmission in months
Our cases were literally, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 3, 1, 1, 0
Get the **** out of here thinking we're going to be the next cluster
They should change their song to Gucci Gang. Would be lit to see the entire west coast team do the floss in the middle of optus while Fortnite highlights played on the video reel
I will never post again if we win tonight. That's how much confidence I have in us in a primetime game. Had this been on a Saturday afternoon, we would have won. But we never have been able to play a huge game.
Skinner was slated for a round 1 inclusion. You can even see it from the 9 news report yesterday. I said this the other day, but he was far and above our best forward in the preseason. There were a lot of articles from the Lions website hyping his form and the ankle injury was the only reason...
Absolutely. This was Skinner's spot to begin with. Had he not had the ankle injury in the preseason, he would have walked into our starting squad for round 1. I can sense a breakout game from him.
McStay Isn't playing, so we could fare better this week. Unfortunately, Hipwood is still in the team. So i'm expecting a solid 1 goal 5 investment from him
I think people might be surprised with the amount of AFL penetration that has happened within the last 3 years. This is namely thanks to Brisbane re-emerging as a top team in the competition. 4 years ago, you would be hard pressed to find any AFL related news in newspapers or on Channel 7/9...
A quote from a user a couple of days ago
"Skinner seems to be massively overrated by many on this board all because of a 1 game performance many years ago. From all reports, he has been underwhelming in the scratch matches and isn't doing himself any favours."
The ironic thing is that his post...
Richmond will smoke us. Ignoring how good they are, they have always been our bogey team. Personally, we should focus on the Essendon and Bulldogs game and accept that Richmond will beat us.
What are you talking about? Players starved off opportunities will seek chances elsewhere. It's basic AFL 101, and the fact that we're not a powerhouse club playing in a Rugby state doesn't help our chances of keeping our depth.
If Fagan insists on sitting Witherden out, then he will walk into another club. He didn't even want a contract extension to begin with, and only changed his mind when he grew tight with the playing group. If he is continually pushed out of the side, then his motivation to remain here will likely...
I even stated that Mcstay provides fantastic pressure in the other thread, and I have never once called him a bad player. I think he's out of form. But go ahead. Call me a troll for calling a player out of form and wanting others to be given a chance.
Considering they're not covered, no one does. And Fagan has gone on record saying that he's sticking to his team. Regardless of form. So Skinner's lack of inclusion isn't a result of his form.
Have you been listening to the ABC? Have you been watching our games, or even listening to...
Fagan didn't even mention him in the post-match presser. He was asked about the performance of his ruckmen, and he only talked about Oscar. I think even he wasn't expecting Smith to perform as bad as he did.
