Commitment? Maybe not (maybe), but there were a hell a lot of people questioning pretty much everything else about him during the 2023 season, most especially his captaincy credentials.

Had anyone hear about this before? Pearce talking about training by himself after the second break last year:
Forget doing...
Without disagreeing with the argument that disposal efficiency is not a useful measure for kicking effectiveness, that doesn't mean that Ryan being right up there in terms of disposal efficiency is meaningless, if only because he's proving himself more efficient than all the other...
I guess I'm assuming that the "playing small" means potentially taking on these duties. Being able to practice on Bolton should provide a pretty decent indicator of whether this is feasible.
But now you've put it like that, perhaps the thinking is more for some of Ryan's duties to be...
Q: are we taking it as a given that Sharp will at the least maintain his 2024 form?
Last time we had a GC import defy everyone's expectations by playing every game and generally doing pretty well at it, the season that followed saw him fall completely out of favour. I'm not suggesting that...
Agreed, and in that respect I'm completely fine with it. My worry relates to the impact on rebound, given that this move would most likely mean Draper taking Wagner's spot.
Does that mean Walker's role changes to a more attacking one? He's got the pace for it, even if the jury is still out on...
Likewise, the fifth finish in 2022 felt to me no worse than a fourth — both for the fact it set us up for a finals win, but also because 15.5 wins would often get you top 4.
Very likely, but “opt out” data can be used to inform marketing decisions, orders, etc. for subsequent years. If as much as 10% of the membership opt out, that would meaningfully affect marketing decisions.
On the last 3 or 4 member surveys we've suggested that there should be an "opt out" option for the member pack. Glad that there are people who like it and make use of the bits and pieces, but for me it's just landfill and I'd prefer that the cost and resources were spared.
Not unlikely that it’s just a mentoring thing and/or McLachlan keen on seeing Garlic back in the AFL. I.e. not really about our search and more about an already existing relationship between McLachlan and Garlic.
Yeah, this. And I reckon the Serong announcement kind of backfired, in that the re-signing got no press (outside WA) because it was announced when the whole industry was basically closed for a couple of weeks. Was great for highly engaged members/supporters but a waste from a club marketing...
I guess with us now being able to access the national pool, and with development pathways having been established/strengthened, it makes sense to cut fringe players for draft picks, no matter how late. There's much more scope for a late pick to earn selection in their first year in the women's...
Seems clearly intentional to me, or at least habituated as his technique. Hard not feel there is — or was at some time — some strategy behind it, a way of better controlling the ball or something, kinda like a volleyball set.
