I disagree, it's more than just flags. You can't say Geelong have been as unsuccessful as say Gold Coast over the past 9 years just because they both 0 flags.

I think the criticism for Geelong has been unfair. Sure their finals record over the past decade hasn't been great but it's always better to make finals and lose than not make finals at all. Making top 4 in 14 of the past 17 seasons is fantastic consistency and should be commended.
