I hope all the rumours are wrong and Charlie plays. He deserves to be in the team for the big win after the season he’s put in for us. Same for TDK.
At the very least I hope they’re right for next week against the Swannies.
The boys can still win this - Vossy will be giving them a rev up at half time and they will come out swinging. Our season is on the line and the boys will lift and play there best footy from here.
If we win the midfield battle and the boys run both ways like they did last week, and apply pressure like they did last week, we will win. Our midfield is still strong, and with F50 pressure and mids willing to run both ways last week, our defenders weren’t left in the position of hopelessly...
If all the "tests" go our way, we can play McGovern, Durdin and Williams (Williams wasn't listed in the injury report update, so presumably it was just cramp) and welcome back Saad, Curnow and Fantasia. Very positive.
Everyone is too distraught by injuries - the injuries don't matter. We can still field 23 players even if they haven't played AFL footy before, they're still in the team and have been training all year long already.
The boys will lift for a big game and to do Vossy proud, just like they did on...
Not the end of the world. Charlie played well with 7 marks and 2 goals, and hit a few packs well too. I also felt Newman did a good job. Walsh got some game time without getting injured.
We really missed Doc and Gov off half-back. Things fell apart without Gov's intercept marking and...
I hate to say it, but I reckon we got away with one there. Richmond were able to lock the ball in their forward half and we looked shocking every time we tried to get it out. Thought we were much better from centre stoppages, and better on the rare occasions that we managed to get the ball...
Disagree with anyone saying that LOB did the wrong thing there. He receives a handball from Motlop on the half-back flank. Rioli is quickly on his tail, so he doesn't have time to stop and look for a short sideways or backwards target. There's no one immediately up the ground for him to kick...
I thought I would be more upset. I actually feel somewhat amused and relieved. It’s just such an absurd end to the season that its a bit funny, and it actually feels nice to not be stressed anymore.
Having now slept on it and not in the heat of the moment, I think the blues played really well last night.
Disappointing loss, but they fought bravely and showed pressure we haven’t seen in recent weeks. Covered the missing midfield positions really well - everyone who stepped up and played...
So it's my first year as a silver member. I've been going to games and then finding a GA seat as I thought that's all my membership got me... reading through this thread though, is it the case that there is a special area reserved for AFL members to sit at the MCG and Marvel?
